From what I saw (by that time I was pretty tired) Peret seemed to give Ferguson a helluva lot of problems

I was ringside an I thought it should have been a draw ferguson was apalling four and five holding but got it back together in the start of the sixth

From what I seen Ferguson looked terrible a draw at least for Peret who I like watching he has good fitness and gives it a go all the time

its impossible to score it without seeing the whole fight but every time I've see Dave Ferguson he looks in decent shape but always tires badly after 2 rounds.

As others have said, watching the tv footage we only got half the fight, but it did look like Fergie was struggling towards the end.

Like many current heavys in Britain, he's not getting any younger and needs to get meaningful fights asap, i don't think he's interested in hanging round and building 15 fight winning streak against nobodies.

I wouldn't expect Larry to bad mouth any of his fellow pros, but, how would you feel about a fight against Ferguson right now?

And any idea of whats next after the Hughes fight fell through?

I once made that comment on another site that:

'Ferguson needs to keep off the sunbed, out of the weights room, develop some core fitness and actually learn how to fight'

He was less than pleased and somewhat abusive in response, however on the evidence of Friday's dire performance my comments are more true than ever

Go over to the EBF Dave, they only fight 3 x 2 mins, ideal for your 'stamina' and 'fitness' levels

I like Davy,but if i was him i'd have been pleased with a draw.
A rematch would do a lot for his credibility,but Peret seems to be one of these guys everyone wants to get past then forget,a hard nights work for anyone at this level.

I'm 48 years old Dave and haven't fought in 17 years so indeed he would beat me, however if I could survive the first two rounds I would have a fair chance with you :)

No malice intended Dave, you seem a nice lad, and have all the attributes to be a decent heavy, but in my opinion something is amiss with your training methods. Your physique has that 'bulked up' look as if you hit the weights a lot, and your stamina deserts you alarmingly after a couple of rounds. Do you need to perhaps alter the emphasis of your training, more fitness work, less strength work?
