I think he's realised that you need to have some venom to back up your boxing skills, and has decided to take channel 4's money and move to america.mimmy123 wrote:Soon as this topic comes up I bet there are lots of growns on here, and lots that will say 'Who cares'

Re: Fraudley Harrison
His name is Audley, not Fraudley.
Do people have to be so childish when it comes to Audley Harrison?

Re: Fraudley Harrison
Last I heard he was calling out or should I say begging David Haye for a fight.

Re: Fraudley Harrison
Why in the world would Haye even entertain the thought of facing Audley? Both guys are at the opposite ends of the radar in respexct of Boxing! One looks to have just secured a title shot against the man considered to be the best HW in the world, while the other hasn't evne won a world title!banjo wrote:Last I heard he was calling out or should I say begging David Haye for a fight.
Let's get real. Haye has achieved more in his career so far than Audley could ever dream of!
Re: Fraudley Harrison
I know but that's what Audley was saying he wants to fight Haye to prove who the best heavyweight in Britain is
Re: Fraudley Harrison
Why doesn't he try to get a third fight with Williams? Williams is beatable and he could win the British title.
There are plenty of domestic fights that he could get if he wanted them.

Re: Fraudley Harrison
He wanted to fight Haye because he asked Haye for a slot on one of his shows and was told there was no room for him. Logical enough to me, HayeMaker launched themselves with an ethos of exciting fights and would have been ridiculed for signing him. Audley was offended though, recollecting occasions where he brought David Haye into events in the USA when he was the bigger name and when others apparently said Haye was using him.
Six months earlier they both said they wouldn't fight each other unless it was for a world title.
I do feel sorry for how its panned out for Audley (more so following the loss of his younger brother) but if they fought Haye would have him like a rabbit in headlights and win by early ko. It can't and won't happen though, these are two fighters a million miles apart in every way.

Audley Harrison killed boxing on the BBC stone dead with tepid displays which bored folk to death.
They had Froch and Haye doing decent numbers and providing thrills and spills, then they spunk their entire budget on Audley and bin off the two fighters they had followed from an embryonic stage of their amateur careers to back a gun-shy giant, boxing doormen and a debt collector.
Nice guy or not, personal tragedies aside , he's absolute pony.
He's made more money than Williams, Sprott and Rogan combined - and yet lost to each of them.

If Vitali mullers Haye then a Harrison fight becomes a distinct possibility.

Well, appararently, last time I heard from him, he was going to become the HW champ this year, so he better get a move on because over half the year has gone already.mimmy123 wrote:Soon as this topic comes up I bet there are lots of growns on here, and lots that will say 'Who cares'

Maybe he'll have to postpone his plans for world domination until 2010.

We've already seen him exposed though. No real interest to see him flattened again. He had his big chance against Guinn and fought the way he usually fights when the fight, and the recognition, was there for him.hurlock wrote:aslong as he's hated he's an attraction,as you want too see him legged over.

Re: Fraudley Harrison
i wouldnt cross the road to watch him.im fully satisfied he aint going nowhere.
Re: Fraudley Harrison
im not one to criticise any fighter but audley takes the biscuit,he feasibly could start from scratch and go for the british title but wont do so.His claims of world domination where tens times more outlandish then anything thats come out of the amir kahn camp

That don't mean a thing mate..The medal he won at the Olympics made him what he was!!G0mez wrote:

Without them Olympics he wouldn't have made 10% of what he has!!

Now he scratches around for crumbs.
He should have maybe became an ambassador for Amateur boxing, with a decent salary and a lot of credibility.
As it stands, his gold medal might as well be a chocolate coin on a xmas tree.

Surreal as always Terry,Terry D wrote:All boxers deserve respect, it takes a special type of man to get into that boxing ring, you would never see me boo or take pleasure from seeing one of these brave warriors prostrate on the canvas for five-minutes, the mere fact that they even get into the ring means that I would...
...Whoops, that was meant for the Gatti thread. Big Aud'? He's just a shite coward wot deserves no rizpec', ain't he?! I hope he gets sickeningly knocked out for ten-minutes so I can boo the twat, then weep into my pint over the admiration and respect that I have shown to all boxers.
Look, he's entering the ring now. BOO! BOO, ya useless tw@t! BOO! Eh, that is the MC? Where's Big Aud'? Entering the ring now, who is the other guy, well I can't help it, they all look alike! BOO! I hope ya fall over the top rope and knock yaself out ya big tw@t (as long as you recover within a five-minute time frame because if you don't I'll have to open a thread saluting our 'fallen warrior')...so I can BOO ya (no Aud', BOO ya is not a positive shout of support, that is BO') again upon rising! BOO!
I myself don't wish him any harm, but I wish him no luck or success in his endeavours, I hope every man he faces takes the decision or delivers the hopefully impermanent pain of a stoppage.... that doesnt make me a bad person. Just makes me not-an-Audley fan.

it was channel 4 that harrison was contracted to i think.G0mez wrote:Audley Harrison killed boxing on the BBC stone dead with tepid displays which bored folk to death.

To be fair if harrison had a bit of kill he could easily be world champ. his boxing ability is immence its just that when he gets hit he's like a rabbit caught in the headlights, and when he has the chance to finish someone of he steps off the gas like he frightened to hurt them. U can develop aggression, so i would never completely write his career off.
Also before Haye was famous i saw an interview with him where he said he would never fight harrison because he's really good friends with him and even if he won he wouldnt feel it was a victory he could be happy about.
Re: Fraudley Harrison
It was definitely the BBC. They showed his first 17 fights or something.kingfinn wrote:

He signed a 10 fight deal and then it was extended.
His final fight was Tomazs Bonin on the beeb.
