Eugene Maloney
Whatever happened to this tosser?
Remember him building Skeltons up as the second coming of Jesus on sky, talking shite every time Skelton fought. Adam Smith made a mug out of him one day in a post fight interview by asking him what age Skelton was. He then asked Eugene if he could provide Skeltons passport to prove that and Eugene again insulted the boxing fans by saying "i left it at home".
Hopefully he stays off our screens. Along with Jim Neilly too, who was an equally poor human being.

I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that you would NOT have the b*llocks to go up to Eugene and call him a tosser - I liked Eugene he was straight to the point and if he did not like something he told you.
Wherever he is - its none of our business.

Relax Spud. He is a character in British Boxing and I was wondering if he is still out there, that's all.Spud wrote:Lirva, lirva wrote:Whatever happened to this tosser?

C'mon Lirva, the tone of your post and it's content is clearly an attempt to wind up Frank Maloney/others who come on this board. You are trolling: plain and simple.
Eugene Maloney never came across as a 't0sser' to me, either on TV or in print. (I never met the man in person and know little of his private life so can only speak as I find)
As for hyping Skelton - who can blame him?
Matt came from nowhere in boxing terms (despite being well known on the domestic kickboxing circuit) and within 12 months of going pro with no amateur fights he had stopped Holden for the English belt and soon went on to beat Julius Francis and then stop Sprott for the British crown. That is cracking form by anyone's standards (especially at a relatively advanced age and few pro rounds under his belt).

Bang out of order and you should be banned from the forum.. And like Spud said I hope if you do bump into him you have the balls to call him a tosser. Dont think if you do you will need to be banned from here somehow.lirva wrote:Whatever happened to this tosser?

Are we not allowed criticize the Maloneys on the board or something?jonny wrote:

The guy was insulting my intelligence telling me that Skelton was 33 or something and got exposed by Adam Smith on Sky. In my book that makes him a tosser. if you don't agree fair enough. I was wondering if he is still training fighters that's all.
Look mate, there are plenty of people I dislike in the game and plenty I like too, as with everyone else I suppose. We are all allowed to share our opinions here.
Re: Eugene Maloney
eugene was good entertainment on the screen, and was promoter for some cracking small hall sunday afternoon shows, chas symonds et all we introduced by eugene i think.
im not sure where he is, he wore his heart on his sleeve and liked a flutter, but as spud said, he called a spade a spade and maybe that was his undoing.
used to be some cracking interviews on you tube from the fight factory, with eugene waxing lyrical about often no hopers. it was good entertainment thats for sure.

nice video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0KT991ttww looked liked good times there.
Re: Eugene Maloney
Eugene is straight and, in my opinion, sorely missed in the game. As a fighter, he was a tough little flyweight who fought on one of F rank Warren's early shows.
