mate i keep reading you saying people involved in unlicensed boxing are all clowns , no doubt some are but i certainly wouldnt say that myself , i as previously stated promote these shows wether there called unlicensed or semi pro or white collar , no odds that arguement has been had but to call them all clowns is rediculous , theres some quality boxers , something that over the next few years will be apparant when they start to turn into good pros / return to the pros , ive recently recommended two lads from another promotion to a pro promotor and theyve been signed up and making their debuts in june and will do well , plus ive got a boxer who was unbeaten in the pros and is returning to the pro game towards the end of the year and another who lost just 1 of 12 bouts along with some descent young prospects , some people arent well off enough to box for free in the ams, some people HAVE no choice ,as their only way to earn some dough , who are you to tell them they shouldnt do it .

Yes theres a few tits and turds on the unlicensed circuit (there is in the pro;s too to be fair), but theres some really good boxers too , people like myself dont match the turds with the quality , i like to do a good show .

billy bessey wrote:depends who there fighting novices normally £150 + £5 per ticket sold experienced £200-£250 + £5 per ticket but on my last show i had ex pro john kaighan down to fight my a.b.a runner up because i didnt want my lad to just walk through someone and i knew john would last the distance and i ended up paying him £380 but that was a one off really. The shows in london they charge £35-£80 ticket where as mine are £20-£25 so not so much money to play with
i know john kaighan hes a good mate of my dads tough man
