Anybody picking Haye against Vitali?

I guess when all is said and done is Vitali-Haye really that different from Vitali-Hide?

Yeah, Haye's chin has weaknesses, Hide has no chin. Haye is also a better fighter in my opinion, undisputed at his weight. Hide is still trading of a few good rounds versus Bowe.

Haye is capable of constructing and sticking to a tactical plan. Hide thinks a tactical plan is health insurance for your balls.

I still wonder if Vitali were to scramble Haye in a similar manner that he did to the Norwich nutter we might revise that a little.....

Yeah well I guess we don't know what Hide might have acheived at Cruiser had he started out there so he could have possibly pulled off a Mormeck style result too?

I do favour Haye over Hide myself but (playing devil's advocate a little) there are obviously a lot of similarities between them too in terms of size, speed and questions marks over the whiskers, especially when getting clumped by much bigger guys.

Haye must be given a chance with his power and speed, but i'd still not put alot of money on it.
Is 5 rounds of boxing against Monte Barrett enough preperation to take on someone like Vitali.

I think his best strategy here is just to go for it. Engage in a war and try to land cleanly on Vitali and see what happens. Don't just stand in front of Vitali, but don't wait for him either. Don't wait to get your head jabbed off. Get in there and bang away and hope to catch Vitali while he is on his way in. Haye will believe he has the power to do it.

Sanders had SOME success by drawing Vitali on to his punches early. Lewis thought that the strategy to beat Vitali was to pressurize him and not let him fight at his own pace. Lewis impressed me with his chin in that fight though. I don't think Haye has the same quality of chin.

Who knows, if he gives Vitali awkward angles maybe he can flummox Goliath enough to close the distance and land. Haye's footwork is very good, imo.

I do remember that Sanders landed some big shots on Vitali, but couldn't make a dent in him.

the only thing i would say about this fight for haye.

is that he prefers boxing guys who stand off and give him that bit of space.

he's not as good against pressure.

but at the same time he's fighting arguably the best outside fighter in the business.

someone who'll make him cautious to commit.

i want haye to win but i just don't see it. :(

I guess there is an arguement to put it at Number 1, but I'll let the conneseurs argue about that. I'm not well versed enough in boxing history to give a good answer

Haye always lands...but Vitali has seen his power before, and then some.

I don't see much hope of Haye winning unless Vitali has really slipped, unfortunately. Vitali KO1 or 2 will be the bet with a little hedge on 3 and 4. I would be cheering on Haye though, of course!

even though they are quite different fighters hayes going to go the same way as danny williams but in less rounds.

I really like david haye especially after going to france and crushing mormeck but there is absolutely no way he beats vitali klitschko.

Yep, I had to agree with FW a few weeks back, saying no way Haye takes a 10 rounder and risks his chin - a massive risk with the belt holders lining up to give him a chance ( remember that guy who turned down a shot at Foreman, for a warm up, and was duly blasted back to oblivion )

Weighing up the odds it's the right move, just the wrong belt holder. Blame setanta.

Always said that Haye COULD knock Vitali out on his feet, or via cuts. No confidence whatsoever about it tho.
