Kevin Mitchell's opponent
Kevin Mitchell's opponent
Kevin is fighting Rudy Encarnacion, from Spain Via the DR.
He has lost 9 out of his last 11, although in at title* level.
* Belgian title, WBC Mediterranian title.
Presumably just intended as a bit of a warm-up/comeback fight for Mitchell.
He should get through this very easily, then be looking to defend his British titles soon.

again extremely poor opponent for mitchell, ive said it before but why not fight a solid british journymen of which there are plenty around that wont fall over or quit, give you the rounds and remove a lot of ring rust, mitchell cant even be classed as a prospect no more.He really needs to step it up

Only Mum's can fight for that one though, Kerry Katona is Champion Emeritus.
Re: Kevin Mitchell's opponent
Yes but her title is under threat after her mandatory contender was announced as Dot Cotton.DavidPayne wrote:Only Mum's can fight for that one though, Kerry Katona is Champion Emeritus.

British opponents seem out of favour, for some reason.caffrey wrote:again extremely poor opponent for mitchell, ive said it before but why not fight a solid british journymen of which there are plenty around that wont fall over or quit, give you the rounds and remove a lot of ring rust, mitchell cant even be classed as a prospect no more.He really needs to step it up
Maybe its just how the record looks- this guy (I think) has won more than he has lost, and has challenged for "titles".
Sounds better than a typical British journeyman's record.

Anyone know how much an international opponent would get paid for a fight like this?Jeff Thomas wrote:Its all about the benjamins.whicker wrote: British opponents seem out of favour, for some reason.

What would a Brit ask for?

Re: Kevin Mitchell's opponent
Im dissapointed in that I thought they would at least give him a half decent fighter who will give him a little bit of a test but no they stick him in with a human punch bag POINTLESS
Re: Kevin Mitchell's opponent
Kerry Katona failed to make weight for her Heavyweight belt so she has been stripped!DavidPayne wrote:Only Mum's can fight for that one though, Kerry Katona is Champion Emeritus.

I demand to know from Horse why Kerry does not feature in his rankings.

Such is boxing. He will be on first, I think, fighting in front of a nearly-empty arena.alexpaterson wrote:Im dissapointed in that I thought they would at least give him a half decent fighter who will give him a little bit of a test but no they stick him in with a human punch bag POINTLESS

I doubt Mitchell will be on first, what makes you think that?whicker wrote:Such is boxing.
