Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
Looks like Dunne won't have to take a beating off Rendall Munroe after all. I bet this story is just his way of saving face not fighting Munroe and saying that the WBA won't allow it.

Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
Dunne would beat Munroe I dont think this is an excuse not to fight Munroe
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
How do you see a glass chinned hype job beating the most underrated fighter in Britain? Munroe would destroy most 122 boxers you'll see.

Same here. You can easily tell the unbiased people from how they feel so strongly about either Dunne or Munroe winning. No poster should be more than 60% confident that either fighter would win a fight between them
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
agreed good fight and one that should happen sooner rather than later.
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
this guy is probably tougher than munroe -poonsawat - and the thai has fought in world class before with good results, incl competitive loss to wlad sid and a thrilling win over cordoba
IF dunne is trying to swerve this fight, IF, then this is very poor. the thai is a worthy opponent with a win over cordoba, so it can easily be hyped up hopefulyl they can get it in ireland, which you'd think would be the case.
munroe seems to have an opportunity of his own so it's maybe up to him and his team to pursue the WBC title held by Japanese hard nut Nishioka.

Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
I think Dunne would have a very easy passage against Munroe, who dos not have a good punch, sure he outpointed Kiko easily enough, dunne would be a very different matter no way could i see Munroe beat Dunne, but it would be a very boring fightSteve89 wrote:Looks like Dunne won't have to take a beating off Rendall Munroe after all. Munroe is overrated imo any time ive seen him fight hes looked decent enough but no world beater as some claim him to be.Steve89 wrote:How do you see a glass chinned hype job beating the most underrated fighter in Britain? Munroe would destroy most 122 boxers you'll see.
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
this is dunnes mandatory and a much much harder fight than munroe , munroe will be found out soon enough ffs he had a tough time of it against an afrobum with 3-2-1 record , says it all really !!
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
60-40 Dunne is how I have it, too.mrrocco wrote:I think Munroe is overrated by the 'in-the-know' boxing fan. I would favour Dunne if they fougt in Ireland, I would call it 60-40 dunne if it was in the UK.
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
think munroe lacks the punch to trouble dunne and would be out boxed not a big fan of either but dunnes exciting to watch and munroe bores me
Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
I think that Dunne's people should grab him a couple of defences of the title in the way they did when he won the European before sticking him in with any big time players. The Thai Poonsawat appears solid yet unspectacular, plus he supposed to be the mandatory?
Get Dunne in with him at the O2. Poonsawat has already said he has no problem travelling. Then look at Munroe as an opponent.

Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
Lets see if Dunne gets past Poonsawat first. The Thai may not be "spectacular" but neither is he. This fight will probably be more entertaining than a bout against Munroe.

You cannot be taken seriously on this forum. You come out with this crap about Dunne ducking Munroe in a thread which includes a link which states that Dunne has no choice but to fight Poonsawat K or vacate the belt

You criticize him for making the comment and then make an inane comment back, of equal stupidity.Badass wrote:Steve89 wrote:Looks like Dunne won't have to take a beating off Rendall Munroe after all. I am pointing out that if his stupid comment had any validity, it would be Munroe who has had a lucky escape.I am critcising him for implying that Dunne fighting his mandatory is a ploy to duck Munroe. Is that ok with you Lirvalirva wrote:You criticize him for making the comment and then make an inane comment back, of equal stupidity.Badass wrote:Steve89 wrote:Looks like Dunne won't have to take a beating off Rendall Munroe after all. Re: Dunne Gets Lucky Escape.
Munroe is a nice chap and a fair boxer but he's not in Dunnes class. Seriously. He's a decent fighter but the benificiery of a very poor Euro scene. Rendall wouldn't have had a look in Vs Benichou, Oliver, Belcastro, Krastev, Mullings, Brodie, Medjkoune etc, etc.... Dunne IMO is a very special talent. A little suspect round his whiskers but still a world class fighter. Rendall hasn't really been massively tested at Euro level yet- Martinez aside.

No Lirva you can't stand it when I constantly contradict your crap so you pretend you were making a different point.lirva wrote:I didn't expect you to understand the point I was making so I'm not surprised you didn't.Badass wrote:

Oisin is a good little fighter, very underrated in my opinion. People don't seem to realise that he had hardly any amateur experience and has given some good boxers like Kimbrough and Chavez Jr hard fights. Are you still fighting Jeff?Jeff Thomas wrote:Yes mate.
