name another British light-heavy who should have been nominated to fight Clev for the vacant British? The current English champ seems the logical choice, at 29 McIntosh hardly has time on his side, he's called out Clev in the past, what reflection would it be on him to duck it when the board called the fight?

Because it was clearly going to be a tough fight for Thaxton.

This stupid match making has now ruined the hype for the Thaxton vs Murray fight, or perhaps stopped that fight from happening at all. Thaxton should have fought a bum or no one at all.
