Re: Women Fighting ITV 4

Just something not qite right about it, as PC as that sounds (and I am very UN) Just don't like it..
All to do with the breasts getting hit, and bruising up... Not in a sexual way, just a bit sick.

Re: Women Fighting ITV 4
they just simply dont have the body mechanics for boxing do they? Im not being sexist, its genetics. it really is like watching "fencing". every shot from the shoulders, no waist movement.
That was pish. for wot its worth if that BB bird hadnt run and played tag the cooper bird wouldve bashed her up!
Theyre a togh breed them Coopers!!!!

like you I had the same opinion of "womens boxing" until I say Katie Taylor fight.
She would put most pros to shame.

Re: Women Fighting ITV 4
Oh come on she only looks ok because of the level of most of her opponents. Women cannot fight in the way that itlooks entertaining with high skill levels.sligobhoy67 wrote:like you I had the same opinion of "womens boxing" until I say Katie Taylor fight.

Well I thought the skill level she had was as good as a man. Footwork, head movement, combinations - everything!teddy007 wrote:Oh come on she only looks ok because of the level of most of her opponents. It wasn't even a decent woman's contest, it was only showed because she was on Big Brother. if your going to show women's boxing at least show someone with ability, that was pathetic and both had lost more than they've won. Total boring waste of time.
Re: Women Fighting ITV 4
Spot on. Not a great way to further the womens' game or gain more fans, by showing *that* spectacle. Got nothing against it, if they want to do it, but just saying that was a crap fight and wont win over too many doubters.Punchy Joe wrote:It wasn't even a decent woman's contest, it was only showed because she was on Big Brother. if your going to show women's boxing at least show someone with ability, that was pathetic and both had lost more than they've won. I thought he acted entirely neutral and professional and didnt let personal opinion get involved!
Re: Women Fighting ITV 4
Tactless publicity stunt by the promoter, if she wasn't on BB it would never have been shown. :geek2:
Re: Women Fighting ITV 4
it was an alright contest it was a shame that the fave had a record of 2-12 entering the fight, im a fan of womens boxing. i dont get how that is a travesty or its boring when lets face it ITV,sky and steanta used to put on down right stinkers alot there are good womn fighters out there just these 2 where not hopefully the top fights will appear on TV more often and one day headline like they do in germany
