Photo archive

Post by robert.snell1 »

I am aware this issue has been raised in the past however things may well have changed.

Can an archive be setup where people can post photographs.

Can photographs etc be added to the bio on the boxers listed

Is there a way the members can get together and form a group to exchange material rather than via chance meetings when looking through the various threads ?

lets talk about this folks

I've always felt a little picture of the Boxer on his Biog would be a nice little feature.

I'll pass this question onto some of the more experienced Editors and I will get back to you with any responces I get.

Robert, This question has been brought up one or twice in the past. The two primary concerns, as I recall, were potential copyright infringement and file size of photos (bandwidth/traffic slowdown).

Once the new server is in place (start of Oct fingers crossed) then we shall definitely have a photo capability. I've got a lot of ideas how to do it and I'm very keen but it isn't a priority at the moment.

Seriously though, if there was a say Memorabillia section in this forum then we could take it from there.... post interesting articles questions etc about books, mags, videos.... and set up swaps perhaps and buying anmd selling of boxing memorabillia.
Aside from the buying and selling I think it 'd be very interesting to have a section dedicated to discussing boxing memorabillia.
Alternatively we could always start some sort of Memorabillia threads?.... see how much attention they get..... 8)

what is the new server going to provide - for those not tec minded-

and what do you see as a priorty for the development of the site.

i ask this as i am sure that it will be of great interest to the many users of this site and they would welcome any information as to how it may be developed further .

Are you going to ask people for there opinions and suggestions on how the site may develop/change to meet the interests of the users .

i appreciate that asking such a question will result in a 1001 comments , but I would welcome your comments on this .
