Most folks probably know that Bob Fitzsimmons and Jack Johnson are buried within easy walking distance of one another at Chicago's Graceland Cemetery.

What two welterweight/middleweight champions lie buried in the same cemetery?

Hint # 1: Unlike Johnson and Fitz, these two never fought one another.
Hint # 2: The cemetery is in California.
Answer: Tommy Ryan and Sugar Ray Robinson are buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery in Los Angeles County.

Yes.

Follow-up: the last scheduled 20-round fight in the USA?
Answer: June 1, 1971 - Brian Kelly v. Alonzo Harris in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kelly won when Harris retired between the 10th and 11th rounds, but the fight was scheduled for 20 rounds.

Maybe that dude who Buchanan fought for the WBA title...... but he looked a bit chunkier on film.

There was one a few years back who was champ at 140. Might be him. bennie would remember his name.

I'll let someone else trawl thru the list of potential Japs until we get a match.

Here's one to be getting on with while the trawl is in progress.
