John Watson's the best of the lot. Very, very skillful fighter and has already beaten Martin Gethin in only his 10th fight. Big and rangy for the lightweight division and I can see him going the furthest out of the Scouse boys.

ste smith and bellew stand out by a mile imo

possible future world champions!

also i think big pricey will shock allot of people but he just needs to be a active, then people will see the best of him.

iv got to say liverpool is really producing some great prospects at the min. and there are also a load of great amateurs coming through,

hopefully we will get to see all of these fighters in the future at the echo arena topping some bills

As for current fighters, Stephen Smith and Tony Bellew are the best prospects to come from Liverpool at the moment.

Ste Smith - Can go all the way in a tough division (world scene)
Paul Smith - Always had potential and starting to show it now back at home.
Liam Smith - A few have said he's better than Swifty

Tony Bellew - Talented fighter with a big bang, him and Clev has to him.
Joe McNally - Suprised he's not been mentioned, quality looking fighter.
John Watson - Impressive in his win over Gethin, not in an easy domestic weight class.
Gary Davies - Looks like it's coming together for him, great to watch.
Tony Dodson - Proven domestically, will always put up a great scrap.
David Price - Only had the one fight but the monster is being tipped widely.
Nick MacDonald - Little known fighter, beat Swifty in the ams, really talented fighter.
Steve Williams - Impressed in his last fight, solid and technically sound.
Derry Matthews - Unfortunate in last couple of fights, can definitely win the british.

The are a few good young fighters, Lee Jennings and Paul Edwards come to though.

Joe McNally and Nick Macdonald can suprise a lot of people.

Bellew and Swifty have good futures.

Like John Watson's chances, wouldnt rush him into British title class just yet tho

Cheers for digging those up mate as they definitely make for interesting reading. I can't help but think Geard Adjetovic is the perfect example of the classic under-achiever.
The other thing it throws up is something that others have already touched on, namely that we have some outstanding young prospects across the board at the moment so there are a multitude of reasons to be optimistic.

MacDonald is a bit injury prone as far as I can tell - think he has been cut a few times iirc? Thought he was a cracking little fighter in the vest with a style made for the pros - would like to see him now he is out of the vest..
