According to the Boxrec schedules, forum poster Martin 'MTG' Gillick should be fighting...well...about now probably!

Indeed. Caught out a few times if memory serves about fantasy training sessions in the Barn and such places. I remember speaking to a good friend and exceptional boxing writer just after MTG's much anticipated fight. I wont repeat what was said, but it wasnt complimentry about the quality of skill or condition in the ring. Lets hope 18months has done him the world of good.

How did he get on, well I will say fair play to him win, lose or draw. It takes guts, especially after his debut.

Yeah fair play for having a go.... on the other hand its not great for the sport is it, when incompetant people are getting in the ring believing they're the second coming. Someone could get hurt and thats just what the sport needs when its making a (albeit minor) resurgance...

Yep, I do, I got dragged through the mud and besmirched on ESB, opponent Mike Jenno's hard work got overlooked, and MTG buggered off abroad. It was intense.
