do you get paid in the amateurs, i live in britain if this makes a difference, i have heard that you do once your 16 but i wasnt sure.

please can someone tell me if you do, thank you

I believe the top few boxers in each weight class in Great Britain get paid something, but you could contact the B.A.B.A. to find out for sure.

I've heard that in the UK main events on amateur shows do make money, not anything more than 100 quid though.
