his nationality is British and Canadian. I lived in germany till i was twelve then moved to england because my dad was in the RAF, i wouldnt consider my self german, but if i though by moving to germany i could play for their national football team u can start calling jurgen now..J wrote:King finn utter crap.
He was born within the sound of bow belles mate, that makes him more cockeny than I. His mother took him to Canada to escape an abusive relationship and seldom around father at the age of 12, he didnt wish to go but had to. Then repatriated in 1988 shortly after winning the the gold.
quote Having achieved that goal, Lewis declared himself a professional boxer and moved back to his native England. He claimed he'd always considered himself British.

So in total he lived in canda for 11 years out of a 45 year life. Strange you dont hear much about him returning to his native canada isnt it? There is more of an argument to say he is Jamaican as that is his parents heritage and where he considers his roots.
I will be living in barbados for 6 years so by your reckoning that makes me Bajan does it.
Utter tosh.
Do let me know anything you wanna know bout big Lenn the guy is my hero.
Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
well you just shoot down your own argument, you dont consider yourself german and Lennox doesnt consider himself Canadian.
THE END.

no it doesnt.
Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
I live in Canada and know many Canadian boxing fans, and not even one claims Lewis is Canadian, so I can verify that! Interesting that a Canadian would naturally have a British accent.REAL_DEAL wrote:I have to read back now to find out how this turned into where is lewis from thread![]()

Haye's top challengers if he beats Valuev
Even if Haye's had to agree to a rematch clause, that wouldn't be too bad as it would only happen if he'd first beaten Valuev, and that aside, according to the latest WBA rankings his top rated challengers would be Kali Meehan, Taras Bidenko and John Ruiz. Ruslan Chagaev would probably figure in there somewhere, but he didn't look too fearsome against Wlad K. Further down the WBA top ten you've got DaVaryll Williamson and Ray Austin, and at number 15 there is Brian Minto.
Some fans have criticised Haye for not facing one of the Klitschko's but a win over Valuev puts David in a pretty commanding position, where's he more in control of his own destiny and career. For the past few months he's been on the outside looking in, but if he wins the WBA title he'll be able to start making defences against quite beatable opponents. That is not the worst position to be in![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Haye's top challengers if he beats Valuev
I think Haye has done himself alot of damage with his messing the Klitschko brothers about badly. It could all go pear shaped if Valuev pulls out. Haye could be forced to fight his way into the heavyweight picture
not a thing any fighter with dodgy whiskers needs to be doing..
Re: Haye's top challengers if he beats Valuev
If he wins he should vanquish John Ruiz from the heavyweight scene and Meehan is about as easy as they come for Haye, so that would be a safe defence in the process of getting some Klit.

Agreed, Ruiz is without doubt the most boring boxer ever in the history of the sport, we don't need another spell with him as WBA Champion!crusader wrote:If he wins he should vanquish John Ruiz from the heavyweight scene.

i agree with you there, valuev has pulled out of a few fights already and david can noway stay inactive for so much longer, even though the big russian is pretty limited as heavyweight champions go,a commanding performance by david would mean he would have a much easier time negotiating with the klitschkos peopletonyevs wrote:I think Haye has done himself alot of damage with his messing the Klitschko brothers about badly. haye wont beat valuev
Re: Haye's top challengers if he beats Valuev
i think haye has a difficult job against valuev, however, valuev is easier than the klitschkos thats for sure.
if david beats valuev, then he may well get the opportunity to lick some klit, but, the brothers are now in charge, haye has had his chance.

Seriously - I want David Haye to win the title's - he is a top man - however the whole debacle and it is exactly that over the "Klitschko Negoitiations" shows Team Haye up BIG time as not being as savvy as they make out. I expressed my reservations in the first place that Haye was signing his life away for far too long but many of you lot came on here to state I was wrong - what happens David Haye now says he was signing his life away for far too long!!!!
I have absolutely no doubts whatsoever that Haye could have beaten Wladimir - or he certainly had a chance - but I couldn't see anyway at this stage mainly due to his inexperience as a heavyweight he was going to beat Vitali - and as far as the negoitiations were concerned and what Haye even contemplated in giving up for the next 18 months or so was f*cking barking mad and its something Hennessy, Hobson, Warren, Maloney etc etc would have never agreed to do for one of their fighters.
I really do hope Haye wins this fight - but I do have a final wish - I sincerely hope that he concentrates on his stable of fighters instead of being completely selfish about himself - and before anyone says he is a young fighter and he should be concentrating on his career - the day he signed up lads and expressed a desire to be a promoter is the day he should have put his fighters not himself first!!!
Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
I thought it was a bad idea for Haye to bank so much on the Klitschko fight. Pissing them off, then having to sign up to his next 3 fights away; then having to pull out due to injury or likely another reason. Given his responsibility to his Hayemaker fighters as well, and it has been pretty disastrous.
Good that he has a world title fight with Valuev upcoming. He wins a belt, takes it back home and starts promoting world heavyweight title fights - he reminds us he's a top fighter, and he likely becomes a player with that Holy Grail in boxing, a TV contract. A two-weight champion, a guy with heavyweight paydays, and a legit "pound for pound" player. Fvck the Klits and their preposterous terms. I can't believe that Bill detloff at the Ring is writing how Haye has screwed them over. Even Valuev commented how bad the terms were.
Not sure how Haye's strength will hold up vs Valuev. Haye has superbly fast hands and quick powerful shots but it's doubtful he can knock the big guy out. Really hope he can do it. Valuev could just graze the top of Haye's head and Haye could be on the floor.

Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
If Valuev puts Haye over would he be able to finish him? Valuev's proved he's slow and can't deal with movement. Haye would just have to dance around him for a minute. Although, does Valuev have that much power? The only redeeming feature I have seen from him is the improvment of the jab.Autobarn wrote:Valuev could just graze the top of Haye's head and Haye could be on the floor.
Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
I just wonder if Haye will be strong enough to box well for 12 rounds. Haye doesn't really use much lateral movement - he's fairly flat footed.

Re: Haye-Vitali off now its Haye-Valuev!
fornicate Haye, hasn't fought since Novemeber, wanted things his way %100 when he's not a champ at HW and talked so much shit to the Klits he ends up fighting a guy who wins on gift decisions and is being exploited because of his size.
