Is it just me or will 2004 turn out to be one of the best boxings years for ages?
I haven't heard anyone talking about this yet so i'll try and avoid getting too excited yet but if anyone can bring out the old Barrera it's Morales plus he's got plenty to prove after the shellacking Pacman gave him.
Too late. I'm really excited already.

Don't think this is such a big fight, I think Barrera can raise his game for Morales, but I think that he's on the slide enough for Morales to dominate. Morales seems to be improving and has by the looks of it grown into the weight.
Whilst it's not a bad matchup, I don't think it's going to be as excitiing as their first fight, and maybe not even the 2nd. I fancy Morales to get him out of there inside the distance.

Were Morales just coming off the Chavez win I'd have this fairly close, but Erik looked really really good last time out, keen from the first bell to set a hot pace and maintain it all the way through.
Barrera on the other hand still has all the skills but his engine looks a little burnt out.
Morales UD.

I can't see any other winner than Morales (especially as MAB will be stepping up to Superfeather) but his style of fighting has to catch up with him eventually.
Another comprehensive beating will spell the end for MAB and that should inspire him to a more determined performance then we've seen for a while. Also Morales with his bad attitude will want to humiliate MAB especially if he suspects like the rest of us he's a spent force.
I know it's not really a big fight in 2004 but it could be a great spectacle.

I am delighted this fight is happening, cannot quite believe it but it happens. I so want Barrera to do it, for me he is 2-0 (and I actually scored the first fight closer than the second) and I would be gutted if Morales gets to him.
Form and the weight advantage tell me Morales, but I would love it if Barrera can do it.
Barrera vs Morales III is still a great event, I only hope the winner of this faces the winner of Pacquiao vs Marquez II (please happen).
