I don't know about you guys but I see Facey winning this by a mile.

Facey's been training for a supposed defence against Thomas "Storm Boy" McDonagh on the Hatton-Stewart bill, so should be in shape. The fact Facey is now fighting Thirlwall makes me wonder whether Chris Saunders is off the Hatton bill, too. Saunders was said to be defending his English welterweight title against Michael Jennings.
Both Facey and Saunders are Ingle fighters.

Thirwall can apply more effective pressure than Macklin did against Facey, but it's still a tough ask.

I'll stick my neck out and say Thirlwell on points. I've loved watching Matthew box since he tore his way through the ABA's a few years back.

I don't think Matthew has been matched adequately to best deal with someone as cagey and capable as Facey, but think his raw aggression can win through.

Maybe Alan Gray next if he wins?

Macklin to me looks a much stronger fighter than Thirwall. I can't see the young lad making much of an impression in this fight.

Possibly Macklin's right cross packs more power, but Thirlwall has that two fisted aggression that could fluster Facey, if Andrew can't fence Thirlwall off of him. That's what I'm hoping to see :-?

Good luck to Thirwall anyway. I last saw him in December and he did seem a touch fitter than before.

Facey has faced and beaten better than Thirwall. Comfortable win for Andrew.
