Are you seriously trying to insinuate that the "Fat, Dorky, White guy" is out of shape?? He's worked hard to earn that nickname and you want to take it away from him by making him get in Shape?? He did 9 tough rounds with Odlanier Solis probably 9 more than Hoppa, Sol etc could do but Chauncy must get in shape? Dont judge a book by its cover my man!!!

I watched the Solis fight, i thought for a guy Chauncy's size and shape he was brilliant on his feet...he moved around very well. He stayed busy in the rounds moving and punching, but his shots didn't seem to powerful. I think adnileb is trying to say that maybe if he got into shape (James Toney shape to keep his nick name :) ) he might be more appealing to fight fans (from what i have read and seen he seems to be a top bloke) but if he dropped weight would that affect his power???

And i do agree i dont think Hoppa or Sol could last 9 with Solis, i was shocked when he made it that far against a very strong body puncher like Solis.

I'm not your man, and yes he is fat & out of shape. Personally I think he is boring fighter who if you suggest should be matched with Rahman, forget it. Your not his manager/trainer are you???

Credit for fighting Solis, but Welliver is not a ppv seller. He is still young and can only improve with the right attitude/mentality and people around him.

statistically (or on recent form) hes the best fight.

he wasnt troubled by oleg...whereas Rahman was jettisoned out of the ring twice by Oleg .

i say go for okhello and okhello to score a win against an unfocussed Rahman and secure an unlikely second shot at a world bauble !

stranger things have happened.
Okhello has one KO loss

KO3 by Kali Meehan.

brute ..you can prove anything with statistics ;;-)

the kali Ko loss was at the start of both careers.

kali has been blasted out at the top level (rahman/Williams)

okhello hasnt been stopped since including by mascaef...
who blitzed Rahman.....

Okhello has had one fight in a comeback, beating a very ordinary fighter.

Anileb my man, PPV "sellers" like Hoppa and Sol would last all of a round maybe 2 against a motivated Rahman. Hoppa is a joke and McCall showed him up very well. Sol is pathetic ant get a VERY faded and shot Couser out in an 8 rounder and alomst got stopped himself. Then score a draw against Wilson and is KO's in 1 by Royce Sio.............and he should fight Rahman??

Chauncys a boring fighter? YOu have not watched many if any of his fights then...........Mailata VS Chauncy was an entertaining WAR great fight. Chauncy never claimed to be a power hitter but he has a high workrate as showen against Solis and a granite chin and will mix it up those ingredients will create a good fight against Rahman. Hoppas marshmellow chin and minimal skills would give him all of a round againt Rahman.

I shouldn't have had a nibble at your bait, but when did Cliff come close to stopping Solo, I'VE SEEN THE FIGHT MAYBE 3-4 TIMES.............. CLIFF WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING COMPETITIVE IN THE FIGHT.

I hope this doesn't come off like I'm defending Solo, but colin Wilson has been in the best form of his career over the last 12 months, and i reckon if Big Bob is going to disgrace himself with one more fight, he should give Colin a chance at beating him, which i think colin would.

Ah you had me believing the sales pitch on Welliver until you mentioned he had a war with Mailata....................... I remember that huge gash on Mailata'nose from his meeting with Solo

I was in Clifs corner for the fight, in the 5th he wobbled Solo a little YES i agree he wasnt about to stop solo but he did hurt him a little (it was a semi wind up mate)

Also Mailata and Chauncy traded some good shots, it was an entertaining fight Chauncy made it that way! End of the Day alot of guys have been sparked iby big shots Mailata was no different against Solo Ruiz got blown out in 19sec against Tua has never been stopped since!!!
