Mundine Vs Medley

Post by Sweet P »

There are rumours around that Mundine may defend his belt against Medley.

I hope this fight is made. Id rather see him fight Medley than an Argie etc. Although Medley fights at 147/154 at 160 i think he will still be strong.

Medley has a good jab, Good power and has a good corner that will have a good game plan.

I predict Mundine will win but Robbie will make it an interesting fight.

yeah i don't think it would be an interesting fight at all, i don't want to watch a guy get dominated by "The WoMan" for 12 rounds.

I heard Pavlik is fighting Paul Williams in October/November, so that will leave Felix Sturm free, but there are also

Daniel Jacobs
Amin Askikainen
Koren Gevor
David Lopez
Ronald Wright
Roman Karmazin
Sebastian Zbik

Id rather him fight Medley than an argie import.

You guys are just being conned by the Mundine publicity machine.
If you just see Mundine for what he is you will realise he isnt ever going to fight Srurm,Pavlik etc

I just see him as a dominant Aussie scene fighter who has lost to the better fighters in his division when he has stepped up. I dont have any expectattions of him ever being an elite fighter and never will.
Thats not to say i wouldnt like to see him against Sturm etc but the fact is he Wont.

I agree Ben it is a better option than an Argie import but I would much rather see a rematch with Geale (Choc is running scared) or a fight with Sakio. I think it is highly unlikely that Choc would go to Germany to fight Sturm. Once again he talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk. Better than an Argie import...yes. A worthy opponent......I don't think so.

To be fair to Medley, he is a talent but has only ever fought 1 world class fighter, if the fight goes thru Medley will be stopped, and it isn't because he isn't talented,it's just because he fights a lot of shitty imports, when he could be going thru the motions like other talents, people this is a big mismatch, and Mundine is an absolute bum if he agrees to this.

It's nothing against Medley, but he's just not ready, the last guy he fought couldn't even afford shoes with tread.

I agree with Ben and amwsnw, it's about time we all realized Mundine's capabilitys.
He doesn't belong on the world stage and is merely a great domestic fighter, who is running out of opponents, and is now picking the prospects off. :shame:

I give Medley a small chance in this fight. I think Hlatswayo although smaller is a better fighter than Mundine. And Mundine had showed very little power at 160. Medley would have the power edge IMO. If Medley can get his jab going it will be a hard night at the office for Mundine.

I'm afraid that local boxers will not get a look in future with our man Mundine if they have a pulse.

What a surprise. Mundine thinking about fighting a bloke from a few weight classes down... Will this be the mega fight he takes after fighting the winner of The Australian Contender!?!
