Question about Willie Pep's loss to Lulu Perez.

Under this fight is says "Pep was believed to have taken a dive." Where does this originated from? I have this fight on tape and it realy dosen't look like Pep took a dive. He was hurt and then tried very hard to fight back and not get hit again but was floored 3 times with some amazing shots. Any info on this fight would be much appreciated.

I think he later admitted it

Its on one of those Mike Tyson greatest knock out videos

its looks blatantly obvious on the clips I saw and I think boxing was banned in NYC for a while afterwards
