I'll 2nd that Spud, my fear is that the judges won't like Witters style, they like boxers to come forward over there in the US.Spud wrote:I think he is past his best - but I really want him to win!!!

hmm, i know what you mean but that kind of treatment for Witter would be much more likely if he was a DK fighterblack panther wrote: Plus with the way old Jose works, I could easily see Junior "instated" as champion if he beats Alexander. Or at the very worst get another shot straight away.
Says a lot about a fighter when his best win is over Kostya Tyszu - after Kostya Tyszu had been whacked by Vince 'Crackhead' Phillips of all people. Lord have mercy!overhand_right wrote:Says a lot about a fighter when his best win is over Vivian Harris - after Harris had been whacked by Carlos Maussa of all people. Lord have mercy!

with hitman_hatton and DG it's a pathological issue both of them have.lurkyshaka wrote:Why the f*ck are people taking it in turns to bash two of our best fighters in recent years?

Is a professional referee likely to show bias just because the fighter is from his country..banjo wrote:Why do they let American judges and referees officiate a fight involving an American? Same over here when you have British refs and judges officiating a bout involving a Brit.
Shouldn't they be neutral?
he's the one that lowers the tone by putting in pictures of hatton getting sparked.Counter-puncher wrote:with hitman_hatton and DG it's a pathological issue both of them have.lurkyshaka wrote:Why the f*ck are people taking it in turns to bash two of our best fighters in recent years?

are showtime airing the witter-alexander undercard fight?black panther wrote:DavidPayne wrote:I can't see Witter taking this without the WBC belt on the line.
Na he might as well, remember what the main event is: Bradley vs Campbell. If Witter can win in style, surely it will set up a fight with the winner of Campbell-Bradley regardless of whether he has the WBC strap or not. Also would he really throw away the Showtime exposure this close to fight time? Plus with the way old Jose works, I could easily see Junior "instated" as champion if he beats Alexander. Or at the very worst get another shot straight away.
