British & Irish Boxing Forum
Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
Today sometime, wasn't like that when I came on this morning.
Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
I do hope this means that any decent discussion involving non British and Irish fighters will not be moved to current scene.

Very random statement. What is pathetic?Hardhitters11 wrote:How pathetic.....
Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
Given the state of the CS forum, I suspect Brit posters would prefer to discuss US fights on here.stujones wrote:I do hope this means that any decent discussion involving non British and Irish fighters will not be moved to current scene.
Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
From a purely personal viewpoint. I must admit to shaking my head occasionally at the number of non British topics open for discussion in the premiere British boxing forum.
I'm maybe just too much of a purist but there are times when I want to reply with a simple NOT BRITISH !!!!
Discounting the 7 stickies on the 50 topic opening page, at the time of writing only 29 topics relate to British (and now Irish boxing too), these include all the usual what if's, betting and prediction league etc.
Only around a dozen relate to currently active British boxers.
There that's my Victor Meldrew moment over, now let me have a moment to decide who would win if ......

Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
So therefore is it a forum for british and irish posters ? Rather than a forum about british and irish boxingEmerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:Given the state of the CS forum, I suspect Brit posters would prefer to discuss US fights on here.stujones wrote:I do hope this means that any decent discussion involving non British and Irish fighters will not be moved to current scene.
Whats wrong over on cs ? dont usually go there
Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
Exactly. I just tend to prefer the discussion you get in this forum, rather than Current Scene. But, sure, whatever the rules I'll follow.metropol wrote:So therefore is it a forum for british and irish posters ? Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
I wouldn't mind it being an European forum
Some good boxers on the continent...plus they own the Heavyweight scene.

It seems that some people treat this as a forum for British PEOPLE to talk about worldwide boxing!
IE "This is the forum for us , we'll talk about what we like.."

Re: British & Irish Boxing Forum
I am sit firmly in this camp. I come here to talk, in the main, about british boxing but I dont think every thread relating to the world scene should be immediately re-directed to the current scene 'waste land'. I never read nor post on the current scene - it just isnt for me. I like to discuss boxing within the forum I have used for the last 6 years or so. I have no interest in the views of pubescent america trolls.whicker wrote:

Hey, you gotta love Ireland! Here's me trying to look cool off the West coast of Galway a few years back. Check out the big Bud, dished out gratis on the boat.
