I thought the WBC didnt allow you to hold its belt and the WBO belt???

Hopkins wont keep the belt i dont think. Morales has got rid of the IBF.

i´ve heard that in another case. but we´ll see how much belts he keeps and defends i his last fight(s) in middle

Trouble with lotso f belts all the ABC companys tell you to defend against this guy all at the same time. this happened with DM after he beat Hill.

Ricardo Lopez beat Alex Sanchez for the WBC/WBO belts but I think that the Wbc told him he could not have both so as a long time WBC champ he kept that belt but I don't think it applies now. Jose and Paco have kissed and made up I think.
I give Hopkins loads of credit for holding all 4 major belts he kept hold of 3 since 2001 so i hope he keeps all four for his 20th defense.

if the governing bodies get a sniff of tito v hopkins going ahead they WILL NOT strip him.
They know that the fight will generate more money that any other!!!

How much do governing bodies deduct from a purse generally???

2%??? x 4 equals 8%!!! nearly as much as a trainer gets

They will only get the money for their belt. Sanctioning fees are something which has remained a mystery to me, it all seems to be hidden in shade.

so if Hopkins is smart he defends one at a time thus only paying one sanctioning fee???

yes but 8% x 4 is considerably more!!!! ie four defences defending each belt each time....

Same thing happened with Hamed when he beat Soto. For a short time he was WBC/WBO champ but WBC made him choose which title to keep.

He vacated the WBC out of loyalty to the WBO...

According to the new recently released WBO rankings Oscar De La Hoya is still the champion.

Thats what happend to Barrera after he lost his first encounter with Morales. Morales held it for about 24 hours so this could be the case.
