I don't mean the odd time when you wanted a great to beat a Brit because you've always liked them (e.g. some wanting Barrera over Naz).

I mean when you've wanted a Brit to be beaten by ANY international opponent because you really dislike them. Some people won't get what I mean because nationality is irrelevant - but to me, I almost always get behind a Brit for reasons which can not be argued logically.

I say this because it's now obvious some of you couldn't wait to see Witter get beaten; Khan the same.

Who else was/is there?

I really wanted Junior to win, and , even though I knew zip about Alexander....well I knew he was 18(11)- 0...and much younger I fancied Witter to do the job.
I was in an utter state by the time I turned in at 5am Sunday but I managed to get on Boxrec and was gutted by the result.

I went to the MEN to see Khan Barrera solely because it was Barrera and a unique chance to see an ATG in my own country, in the North in fact which is even better........I didn't particularly want Khan to lose cos I'm a fan of Khan but as Barrera was an ATG as well as older and smaller...I was kinda pulling for him.

Witter victory would have set up a quality night out in the UK for a massive Witter Khan fight...but that's not the only reason I wanted him to win, I wanted him to do it cos he's British and I've followed his career and a bit sorry for him he was never given a crack by Hatton.

Haters generally come across a bit sad to me, can't be doing with them.

Shocked at the amount of people waiting for Froch to lose! Him and Haye are two of the best things to happen to british boxing for years and folk want one of em to lose

Can understand why people wanted Naz to lose as he was a love him or hate him fighter personally though he was my all time favourite sportsman.

Anyway I almost always support British boxers against foreigners but I have to say I think if Calzaghe or Scott Harrison make a come back that might test me as cant stand the pair of em nowadays.

I want Froch to win, but he does come out with some weird crap. Like in his recent interview with Sky - he doesn't punch like a mule at world-level and Jermain Taylor wasn't a P4P fighter at the time of their fight (top 20 at least).

Beyond that, no one's P4P.

And I love how Fwank Warren is spreading it around that Froch knocked Taylor out with a "lucky punch."

Khan for me. I can't stand that he thinks hes worth PPV when in reality he still 4 or 5 quality fights off that mark. Also, the hype is just unbearable and I just want him to be sparked so that I don't have to hear any more.

The thing is, if he didn't charge ppv and the SKY team throttled back on the arse licking then I would probably get behind him.

The only British boxer that I can recall wanting to lose to foreign opposition, based on dislike, was Ashley Theophane.

I read an article in which he was interviewed and he came across very poorly, and that made me want to see him get knocked out by anyone.

Can't say there is hate there, mate. Dislike some of em, sure, but hate is a deep emotion. I think S Harrison is clearly a horrible bloke, but thats about the limit of it

A seemingly obvious reference to "I'll smoke your boots" which his promoters were desperately trying to make a catchphrase for him by including it in EVERY fekking press release sent out.

Froch called Glyn wanting to make it clear that he didn't smoke, lived the life, etc. Jesus Christ. Obviously went completely over his bonce.

The VERY next day I got a press release with the "smoke your boots" line in, yet again. Was mega pissed off.

However, I've calmed down now.
