Didn't the French win the purse bids last time? What makes you so sure that this fight won't be in France?

But just to clarify, if Ola fights and loses to Ramirez before Enzo fights again. Ola gets ranked above Enzo, correct?

No, if Afolabi loses to Ramirez then he stays out of the rankings.

and what will happen to Maccarinelli say there is no major fight, for him or other fighters in that period... he stays in the rankings? and therefore ahead of a person he's just got KO'd by?

Calzaghe is retired you fornicating idiot.

Hatton needs to drop down having lost two of his last four fights.

Skelton should not be ahead of Rogan.

Jesus, your taking this way too serious, its only his Opinion on who he thinks is Britians top 30 for the month of August.
A few years ago when Boxing news used to show the Professional Rankings in their Mag,they would removed a boxer from their Rankings who had been inactive for a period of 12 months.I know Calzaghe has said he has retired,But by reading Horse reply's on the Subject of Calzaghe,i take it that Horse wants to used the 12 Month Inactive Clause.

No big deal really wheather Calzaghe is in the rankings or not,i still have to go to work today. :TU: where as Calzaghe doesn't because he is MINTED.

If Haye was still at cruiser then I'd put him above Froch, but at heavyweight he hasn't done much yet.

He's done nothing at heavyweight other than beat a couple of club fighters.

I know, I have a different policy to most people on the subject of retirement. I allow up to 12 months of inactivity before taking a retired fighter out of the rankings. Calzaghe will be removed next month, for the start of the new boxing season.
johnswan1 wrote:Hatton needs to drop down having lost two of his last four fights.
I disagree, Hatton is rated higher in the world P4P rankings than the other British fighters.
johnswan1 wrote:Skelton should not be ahead of Rogan.
Rogan would be ahead of Skelton if he hadn't lost to Sexton, who I do not rate highly. It does seem somewhat strange that Skelton is so many places ahead of Rogan after losing to him recently. But Skelton has a much deeper resume than Rogan, so his loss did not affect his ranking as negatively as the more inexperienced Rogan's loss affected his ranking.

I would be happy without Afolabi on the list, whether he wins or loses. I don't think Maccarinelli's inclusion on the list really matters, as far as Afolabi's place is concerned.

Of course it makes a difference, they just fought each other and Afolabi won. You now say you will "consider" Afolabi next time, based on the poll which was over whelming in his favour - but if he loses, (to a better fighter than Macarinelli) - he would still not be included.

Afolabi is mandatory to Ramirez, and Enzo Macc is mulling over his future. So it is very possible that Ola is going to fight before Enzo does.. and its a fight he is possibly going to lose.

Why bother make the poll if you were not going to listen?

Because last time it was the French who had the big card planned, with another Frenchman defending his European title(Anthony Mezaache) and Ali Chebah fighting another WBC top 15 fighter.

McCloskey's bid at the time would have been factored considering a crowd of 2,000-3,000(max) and the potential of no tv money.

This time the French have no card planned and Peters has the benefit of a 10,000+ crowd and RTÉ tv money to guarantee things go to plan this time.

Even if the French did intend on having their own card Palais des Sport Marcel Cerdan holds just over 3,000 and financially they just couldn't put up the same money.

The fact that Peters got the Dunne v Poonsawat fight on the cheap helps matters and allows him extra cash to spend on the undercard.

I did listen to the poll and I will consider his position after his next fight.

I will now even consider entering him if he loses, although a loss will count against his chances of entering.

Okay, my last question on this matter.

Will you state - after his next fight the reason for his non-inclusion (if this is the case).

Will you make a statement thats it due to nationality, or if its due to a defeat (if he does lose to Ramirez).

This "I will consider his position" is quite vague IMO.

If you, or anyone else, asks me about it then I will try to answer honestly what my reasons were.
