After being SHUT-OUT for years... when Tommy Gilmour Snr. told Bert Gilroy it was time to pay for and renew his boxing licence;

Bert said to Tommy, "do they want me to slide it under the door!"

:D :D great pic BTW

Jeff Fenech before one of his title fights where he struggled viciously to make weight and was woofing down a huge plate of his mother's home made pasta after the weighin

A reporter told him his opponent had called him an overrated bum or something similar. Fenech took his head out of the plate and with a gobful of food, blurted out "nobody puts me down and gets away with it. He's gonna pay for that :x " The reporter then went and changed his clothes, as they were by now covered with Fenech's mother's home made pasta

..when tommy farr was asked if he fought joe louis, he said, "if i didn't i don't know who put these knobs on my head!"

on a radio show way back when words hell and damn weren't heard on the radio (i said it was way back) rocky graziano was being interviewed and was asked about his fights with zale, he said "well.. after the first two ....if you'll pardon the expression, i pissed blood for three days."

...and ...in a similar time when the language was pristine, in his post fight inteview, minutes after he got knocked out by joe louis, tami mauriello said "I guess i got too goddam careless".....and for a few days afterward in the press chided him on his "profanity....which (as one writer put it)" i shall not dignify by repeating it here."

Walter Winchell wrote "When a boy said to his mother "how come i get spanked when i say a bad word and he didn't" his mother said "don't complain...he got a worse whipping BEFORE he said it."

In ChavezTaylorI, Chavez's corner man says
"Splash some water on his nuts!"
And there is the infamous "NO MAS" from Roberto Duran
I also like what dempsey said to his wife after he fought Tunney
"Honey, I forgot to duck."
