That may have been his brother. According to Norman Levesque, he only had 3 bouts, going 3-0. I will ask him to further clarify this. Thank you for the heads up on the other name.

Roland Levesque was another resident of Fall River, Mass, no relation. According to Norman, he went by "Bishop." Also, according to Norman, he went 3-0, which would leave me to believe the other fights belong to Roland.

The Bernie Devine fight was scheduled for four rounds and went the distance. If these could be updated and the other fights be credited to Roland Levesque, I would appreciate it greatly. And also update his birthdate (9/9/1922), current residence (Plant City, Florida), height at 5'7" and his name to Norman and nickname to "Red." He was an orthodox fighter. He was actually a lightweight.

(Edit 4/21/2013: updated current residence is Sun City, FL)

Note; 135/61.2/9st9 is Lightweight established in 1886 and is the same to date over 135 is welterweight to 147 max since 1914 but jr welter also known a super lightweight was established 1959. Which means before 1959 your friend was a welterweight.

He weighed in as a lightweight in first fight at 134.5, 136 in second (opponent 131). Final fight was 140. It is common knowledge in the boxing world that catchweight fights have existed for a very long time.

The point of my post was about the record being incorrect. He was listed at 2-0 on BoxRec before and then other fights started to be added to his record that belonged to another fighter. This was addressed when asked who Roland Levesque was. This is not a case of "hearsay" on behalf about the records, whoever added the fights messed up in the research. If two R. Levesque's come up, does it mean it is the same fighter? No. There was Norman "Red" Levesque and Roland "Bishop" Levesque.

Can I get a full fledged response here please with your sources for his record, which I have been disputing since 2009.
