152 vs. 165
In everyone's opinion, is there more talent at 152 pounds or at 165 pounds. I am curious which division is more competitive overall.

If you are talking about at the elite national level, I would say they are about equal. There isn't one dominant person in either weight class. There are a lot of competitive bouts between the top 6-8 guys in each class. On any given day any of the top guys can win. That is good for USA Boxing as a whole. Hopefully, the guys keep battling each other and getting better. When the trial come around, the guy that emerges will have a legit shot at winning a medal.

Don't get me wrong, I think Errol Spence is very good. I just wouldn't say he dominated all his bouts. I saw some close ones even if the scores were like 10-5 or whatever. In the first bout of the NGG, he won a very close bout over Jose Bernal. Bernal had Spence tired and holding a lot in the 3rd round and had it been 3 x 3 minute rounds (instead of the 2 minute rounds), the outcome may have been different. I think Spence is the head of the pack currently, but Bernal, Alicea, White, Williams, Starks, and Campbell (and probably about 5 others) all could beat Errol if he doesn't perform at 100%. Slack-off just a little and he won't be #1. Even Rau'shee Warren and Raynell Williams found that out the hard way.
