Why are the bouts held during the Thunderbox Heavyweight Tournament missing in BoxRec?

I believe they are. The series that aired on late night tv was hard to keep up on at first for me due to the fact that all telecasts were delayed and a fighter or two fought under different names(ie David Nail=David Washington)

Here is a few of the cards that featured bouts later telecast as part of the series(not in order)

hope this helps

The Thunderbox Heavyweight Tournament was held on November 30, 2002 completely. (Click on the link given in the initial post.) I don't know what "ThunderBox Fight" below some of the fight entries means, though.

Do you mean the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (SACB)? (The tournament was held in Atlantic City, New Jersey.)

But there are also unsanctioned bouts in BoxRec (marked by yellow circles enclosing black exclamation marks.)

These were three round exhibitions. I saw the event and they announced prior that the results wouldn't go on the boxer's records. Boxrec has a policy of not putting exhibitions in the records of any boxer. Also keep in mind that an exhibition like the ThunderBox card is much different than an unsanctioned bout.

Then, it's totally comprehensible that they don't appear in BoxRec, of course.

At first I thought you were talking about the series "Thunderbox" that was labeled a tourney but was really just a bunch of heavyweight bouts. Several of these were also aired on thunderbox "the series".
