Interesting to see if Wiremu makes lightweight against Tomlinson considering his last two fights have been at jnr middle and it's been over a year since he has fought at 140.

Moses Seran would have been a better test for Tomlinson.

No end to fun & games

1. OPBF Cruiserweight Title 12 rounds
Dominic Vea v Seiaute Mailata

This is now for WBO Oriental title, but unsure if Interim or Vacant, as Jonny Walker won it last month

Lenny opponent has lost 12 of his last 15 fights. And they will wonder why he struggles if his next fight is against a decent fighter in the US.
He would learn more sparring with Dibb

I think most will agree that this is just another bullshit matchup for Zappa.
You do know Asiku is a Featherweight right?
Onikeke is gold star for anyones record he's 23-3,but his true potential on a world level is 10-13...
He is one of those fighters that got exposed and it was unfortunate for Zappa he's a lightweight now and Onikeke is a LT welter.
Lance Gostellow gets to add a limited opponent(Onikeke) with a good record to his name.
We all wanna see Zappa v Ganoy :TU:

Vea looked good. Nice puncher in close.

Ganoys opponent was taken to the hospital after the fight. More as a precaution as he still hadn't recovered fully back in the room. I hope he is ok and it's nothing serious.

Zappa's opponent? geez...

Vea i think is the goods, i was a little concerned how he ate a lot of leather in the first, but his corner told him to stand on an angle and Vea listened and finished him.

I said to my wife when Zappa's opponent walked out that it wouldn't last a round....man he was small.

Ganoy hit hard as usual.

Medley had a tougher than expected fight, i actually thought Medley looked wobbley at times.

Will Tomlinson done well against a very old looking Wiremu.

Good win for Joel Brunker........I've asked this before but what are peoples thoughts on Brunker?

This is my final post on this forum as I am officially disgusted by Australian boxing - which has become nothing more than a bloodsport.
Look at just about any card - particularly tonight's - and it is ridiculously easy to pick the winner of every bout on the card.
Andy Raymond talks complete rubbish, with Jeff Fenech complicit, as the imported fighters get battered in one-sided contests to boost the records of Vea, Zappavigna, Ganoy etc. It won't be long before we have another fatality (and I've seen one).
Who wants to watch one-sided contests in which the result is pre-ordained? And if there is any chance of an upset, the referees and judges make sure Dib etc get the decison regardless of low/late blows etc.
As someone who has closley followed the sport for three decades, I am disgusted by the bias, the racism and the lack of honesty. Boxing in Australia is finished unless someone is brave enough to clean out the cheats.
At least the NSW Boxing Authority has tghe guts to over-rule ridiculous results like Dib's most recent "win" - but too little, too late.
Goodbye and goodnight.

I wont go as far as to say I wont post again, but I agree with the majority of what you have said and believe me there are many of us who are frustrated with this current scene in Aust. boxing. I for one used to criticise other countries such as Germany etc for exactly what is now happening way too frequently in Australia.

lastnyts card was a joke, very disappointed with team ZAPPA, i mean they're not pushing the kid forward they just raming him backwards, the fight lastnyt was pointless and it just added another win to ZAPPAs record, how do they expect him to do well in NOVEMBER when he goes to the U.S, and he hasnt had a decent fight here in AUS??(apart from St claire n tommy Browne)
Oh well, Wish ZAPPA the best of LUCK in the future coz he might have to relie on LUCK in the U.S..

Some of the match-making was atrocious, with a couple of fighters fighting out of their weight division and copping a hiding.

Zappa will have to watch out over in the States, that he is not matched too early with some blokes that have ability and can take a shot, as Cool Willie found out with his chin.

Mailata came in at 93 kgs. If he had won( ) he would not have been able to claim the title.

Possibly the reason OPBF wouldn't sanction it as Vea's defence
