Certified Women Boxing Coaches In The U.S.

Post by hbomb2 »

I am searching for the names of women coaches in the U.S. that presently coach both male and female boxers and if there are any male coaches in the U.S. that refuse to coach female boxers. Thank you for your help.

Well, she's a Level 1 coach so she can't go internationally yet; but Amy Sowers is also a coach. She's worked my corner and gives me feedback in the gym all the time.

Isn't Dennis Doughlin trained by his mother? I thought she coached some others as well.

Christy Halbert in Tennessee (I think) is a Level IV, and so is Cindy Bohmont in Springfield, MO. I don't know if Christy coaches men, but I know that Cindy does. Cindy's new gym is scheduled to open this winter in Springfield. Cindy is also a Level III Official.

It's illegal to refuse to train female boxers. It happens, unfortunately, but I doubt anyone will come on here calling anyone out.
