SecondsOutTv.com - subscription boxing - anyone tried it?

Hi,

As with the death of Setanta, and Sky's complete inability to show any boxing that is not PPV (and often not worthy of being PPV!), I noticed that SecondsOut website have started up their online boxing channel. 14.99 for 6 months, 25 quid for a year. PPV nights are normally extra but that is true of tv subscriptions anyway.

Anyone tried it? Only concern I have is are they only allowed to show the scraps (no pun intended!) as most fights are licensed to someone else.

Believe me they're will be more than scraps.

On August 28 there's two world title fights in Woods v Cloud and Urango v Bailey. Plus much more to come.

I hope that it's successful and that people subscribe.

I cant vouch for the quality on that site personally as i have not yet.

But from experience of other paid-streams they are pretty mint.

Froch v Taylor was awesome. I hooked up a HDMI lead from my laptop to my LCD TV and the picture was bang on.

(obviously the better internet connection you have the better. But as long as you have about 2mb+ you will be ok. Even if you have less, as long as you hard wire into your modem you'll be fine. I find that when receiving a genuine stream, its better to turn off the wireless connection and plug in direct)

Aye, I plug in so not a problem there. I know a lot of PPV you can pay for online to stream but what i would like to see is a boxing channel that shows regular boxing for a monthly/yearly fee. The SecondsOut tv thing sounded like that. Only worried about the amount of fights they get.

Would hope they picked up a lot of British fights though since narely any tv channels do!
