another middleweight fight with the guys comfortably under the 160 limit. I swear all these guys could go to light middleweight

A few years back I predicted the likes of DLH, Trinidad, Quartey, Vargas, Mosely would converge and settle upon the Middleweight division and have a series of 'super' fights bringing a bit of glamour back to the division, not really seen since the mid-eighties.

I didn't cound on Hopkins still being around to spank them all though!

As for tonight without having much idea if Trinidad is still the fighter he was (I'll presume he is), I'll plump for Tito to bang Mayorga out in 6 rounds.

Excellent REAL_DEAL, been looking for these. Alvarez weight trouble! Wonder if he drained himself to get down to 113.5, if so it's probable he will struggle with the pace... Mendoza UD or even late KO.

Never been impressed with Simms and think Bronko could take him. I'm interested what Mayorga's power will be like at Middleweight, he went toe to toe with Eric Mitchell last time and Mitchell wasn't even marked up at the final bell, and both guys weighed 155, so it was more like a light-middle fight. A prime Trinidad KO's this guy in 6 in my opinion.

People can't imagine what it would look like seeing Mayorga get kayoed but I can. Can picture it really clearly. Mayorga said in an interview his gameplan was to take Trinidad's left hook then come back and knock him out. Trinidad loves fighters who stand in front of him, and I hope Mayorga will give himself a chance by using probably the only boxing skill he has: finding and using awkward angles. Looking at his body frame I've also got the suspicion he could make welterweight if he worked hard. He looks trim but not chiselled at Middleweight, much like he did at 155.

When this fight was announced I thought it was dumb on the part of King/Trinidad, but thinking more about it I think King is cashing in on Mayorga, and he expects Trinidad to twat him in devastating fashion. It's a risky plan that could easily go balls up. Mayorga could easily drop him, but he needs to watch when following up and going for the finish. Trinidad will need to be really hurt, and he rarely is when he's dropped.

I go for Mayorga to win by stoppage around the seventh, he always makes weight perfectly...that pizza eating on the scales and not training facade is all bravado. He trains like a dog.

Ho looks soft at the weight, not a good sign, a lot of problems coming into this fight, i think he's going to get turned over.

I hope Ricardo's chin is a good as he thinks it is. Vargas thought the same, but was enlightened within a couple of minutes.
Still, two huge punchers, and the better chin should win.

Mayorga KO 5.

Watch Don King switch corners at the end.

King is a tosser, he always does that. I remember Benn-McClellan, Gerald who was King's charge is lying critically ill in the corner and King is hanging around Benn like a bad smell chanting something stupid like "You showed the world" and whooping  Prick.

King's famous quote about Gerald....

"he quit like a dog....."

What a class human being.

Whatever people might say about allegedly, I will bet a pound to a penny he would never contemplate saying anything like that about one of his fighters.

Don King has no concept of loyalty whatsoever....

"You made a believer out of me baby"

what a shameless piece of human dirt.
