I appreciate boxing people would not sanction this laughable idea, but perhaps that is the problem, we need some non boxing people in, so that women will be given the chance, the International Olympic Commission perhaps!

I believe just 48kg.

When do these start, any chance of getting TV coverage, or are we going to have to sacour the internet (or hope someone on here doe sfor us) for the results.

Starts on 1st of September I think. I doubt there will be much TV coverage - we are too busy giving 5 hours a day over to athletics to have a half hour for boxing - oh yeaj and three day eventing needs its slot as well.

I would say that the BBC might show a half hour programme covering highlight of the finals. Not sure what if any RTE's plans are.
