Tony - I noticed you've come in over the light heavy limit a few times. Obviously in non title fights that is normal. And you were high weight vs Ellis, who is a heavyweight. Would you ever move up to cruiser, target cruiserweight titles?

If Cleverly is British and Commonwealth light heavyweight champ, could his career get in your way? It can be tricky when a promoter has 2 top fighters at the same weight - as with John Murray's frustrations re Jon Thaxton, with Hennessy.

Obviously Warren is able to get his fighters opportunities, so maybe Cleverly will get moved up and you'll have a chance at the British or Commonwealth, next year.

I seem to remember reading that Bellew was on target for the light heavyweight limit but then his opponent pulled out, leaving him with no option but to pack the weight on to make sure that a fight with Ellis would be sanctioned. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

astrix thats correct mate.

im a friend of tonys and i went to watch the ellis fight, he was supposed to be fighting a different opponent 24 before the fight so he weighed in on the 12-7 limit. it was only when his opponent changed to ellis he had to put the weight on quickly, so the fight would be able to happen. i believe he has been on the 12-7 limit 3 times so far, and with the exception of the ellis fight, and maybe the bonson fight, (i cant be sure on that fight) he has weighed in no more than 2-3 pound over 12-7. like u say unless its for a title i wouldnt really see the point in coming in bang on the weight as i doubt his opponents would make the 12-7 them selves

I agree he has the experience but no matter how much experience he has over me he ain't got the attributes that I bring to the table, Oh well all in good time, As long as we stay unbeaten this will happen in the end, I agree with the comment of me Vs McIntosh I'd like that fight.

Once again I appreciate all the comments left by yourselves it's much appreciated and thank you..

P.s I never said anything about it being like Benn Vs Eubank, I would never try to compare myself to 2 British Legends such as them.. :TU: That's just press putting there litttle spin on it..
ceverley hasn't got the attributes? are you joking the guy has every punch in the book..his power is coming on a bit aswell..great boxing brain..he is really tall and has a world class jab..you are coming on nicely tony! but he has a bit too much experience and skill for you at the minute.. in the future when you both peak it will be great for british boxing..we have so much talent in the uk at the minute! good luck mate :TU:

(thats what it said in the pompey news) but good luck tony your one of the few fighters i would pay to see i like your style and your attitude. but like i said before cleverly is all wrong for you at the moment good luck in the future though mate

Thanks mate, Like I said I have things he ain't got and he has things I ain't got, I know what I can do and if you ask people in the trade who have mixed it with me Im sure they'll spring a few surprises in what they have to say about me, I can't wait for this fight to be made I really can't..It's gonna happen next year providing we both stay unbeaten.. When people start seeing my fights more regularly they'll understand what Im talking about. :TU:

On thing about Cleverly - he may not go all the way like many are starting to presume. He'll start to fight ppl who can take his punch and his talent may level out. Yes Cleverly is the man in Britain right now but I'm not sure he's the world class talent that ppl are saying he is...Bellew brings other qualities such as natural power, precision, etc, that - you never know - might allow him to go further.

Sounds wierd mate BUT there different types of power, Haye has pure speed so you don't see it coming while Pricey's are heavier and while you see them coming you just don't be able to get away from the length of his arms!! Haye more explosive while Pricey's are heavier!!

Enough on that!! Im getting a hedache just talking about them punches..

Haha, I understand. That's partly why I phrased the question the way I did. So Price hit harder, but Haye was more likely to catch you unaware. That's the answer I was expecting. Price looks like a very heavy hitter. I hope he gets active soon.

that champ campillo looks a tricky and tough sort. he just beat the big prospect beibut shumenov, in kazakhstan, in a war that saw both men go down.

i think shumenov made a big mistake going for the title in his 9th pro fight, though he nearly did win.

campillo's also beaten hugo garay in argentina- i believe - and i reckon right now he might spank cleverly in some british sports hall on a friday night! (or the undercard to a khan PPV, more like)

Bomber is a good fighter, seen him a few times and the potential and promise are there. I like him a lot....

..but at this point and any point in the next 18 months Cleverly has too much for him in every department IMO.

That said it would be a bloody good scrap...
