I grew up watching Benn 'kick ass and take names' - his style and attitude epitomised what makes boxing a great, exciting sport.

An all action warrior with balls the size of water melons. His career spanned a golden era for the British boxing scene IMO.

I said to my pal who I watched it with that neither fighter would be the same again(before we realised the tragedy)

yeah, London Arena, about July 1995 I think. I was there. The Italian kept pretending he was slipping and his boots had no grip or something... kinda pathetic, really, and some fans were not amused... they booed lustily and couple started throwing water and Benn wouldn't had that. He waved the fans to stop.

Ah, sorry, I missed your point there. I thought you meant when fans were pissed off with Benn- Nardiello was on that bill, won the world title no less.

BBBoC rules stipulate that two ambulances are always available, but for me that was the greatest fight I have ever seen
