Well, speaking by results; Jordan Shimmel is the best 201 pounder and Mike Hunter is the best 201+ in the US right now.

Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
He was talking about the top 4 as they are ranked. Lenroy is ranked 5th in the US as of right now. I agree Lenroy is one of the top super heavyweights, just not ranked as the top 4 because of the US Championships placing. I would also say Bryant Jennings is one of the best.KCBoxingRef wrote:Dennis wrote:The top 4 superheavies are:

Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
Yes, I was listing the top 4 from the current rankings. Cam and Bryant are both very good and will give any top super-heavies trouble. Cam just won the Ringside tourney beating out all of Michael King's super-sized superheavies. Bryant is new to the sport and doing very well. It will be interesting to see if those two both box in the PAL. Just don't expect any of the top 2 or 3 to be at the PAL since they will be preparing for and competing in an international dual against Great Britain.
Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
Well, we are counting the days and reps until we get to fight Michael and the rest. Lenroy gets bigger, faster, and stronger every week. However, he's probably about as awkward as he'll ever be. :) KO percentage is wayyy up in 2009...excuse me, stoppages.
Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
You will have to wait longer to get another chance at Mike. Maybe Bryant will be in San Antonio. Cam will be the favorite to win the PAL.
Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
Good luck coach to you all and Cam at the PAL. I agree Dennis he will be favorite and only two guys I would think give him trouble are Mike Wilson and Darlington Agha (Cam beat already) and both are turning pro. Craig Lewis and Bryant Jennings could give Cam some trouble maybe if there.
Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
Mike Wilson is scheduled to have his pro debut next week. I had heard that Craig Lewis was turning pro. The Mike I was referring to was Mike Hunter, but he won't be at the PAL.
Re: Heavyweight BOXERS In the USA
Yea I know Dennis, Hunter is the top of the class. And yes Wilson will be turning pro on the 29th I think, and Agha is turning pro tomorrow night. Hadn't heard about Craig Lewis but makes since. Almost all the heavy's have been turning pro over the past few years, with the exception of a few. Plenty of new faces from the 201 and super divisions.
