we are all a bit silly about this and we should look at the start of this thread and start again.

having a go at each other is daft and i want to put an end to this .

Getting back to the original thought of the thread...How many computer data bases are set up perfectly? There's always going to be flaws...If you type in Cassius Clay in the 'name' search you get no hits...it's strange, but what the hell...nothings perfect...

I wish that we could cross reference things quicker here...like for instance, if you wanted to see all middleweight fights in 1985...it would be very time consuming...I wish there was a more direct way...

My thread was never meant to be an indictment of "all things boxrec".
On the contrary, I think this forum is great and the records search is invaluable. It does contain mistakes however.
More than a few other good boxing message boards link to it. That speaks volumes.

The issue is not that important.

Let me suggest a more important issue for which we may discuss.

On Popeye, why did Bluto never eat spinach? He was much bigger then Popeye. If he'd had spinach at the same time as Popeye he'd have kicked his arse. THIS JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!!

He must've been so stupid. No wonder he's way of flirting with Olive Oil was to attempt her murder every week.
