Tszyu v Mitchell 2
KOSTYA TSZYU v SHARMBA MITCHELL
IBF light-welterweight title
Delayed coverage on Sky Sports 2
Sunday, November 7, 9am
Is the Russian Aussie ready to be taken?
Or will he finish off the American 2nd time round?
Will Frank and Ricky be ringside?
Will they push for a title shot, or go for the loser in a final, final-and-I-mean-it-this time-eliminator?

This fight is no where near a formality for me, Tsyzu has been inactive for a long time and looked unfit and pudgy in a lot of recent interviews which could indicate a struggle to get down to the weight. I really think he needs to KO Mitchell because the longer it goes on the more rounds Mitchell will bank with his outside Boxing and superior speed, however if Mitchell takes a breather similar to the one he did after having Stewart in trouble that could be his downfall. As soon as he stops moving Tszyu can start to unload.

I don't think he is, because his style is a simple one. I think Tszyu will look like his normal self in much the same way Tito did last Saturday. Is the Russian Aussie ready to be taken?
Mitchell is not as elusive as people make out, and he's also very open for the right hand.
Tszyu wins by decision, or late stoppage for me.
Fwank will be at home writing his next bullshit excuse as to why McFatton won't be in a big fight. Meanwhile McFatton and Rik Waller will be taking part in a tv programme about twins. Will Frank and Ricky be ringside?
Doesn't Jon Thaxton make his return this weekend? Will they push for a title shot, or go for the loser in a final, final-and-I-mean-it-this time-eliminator?
I think a rematch could be in the pipeline. I mean who needs the likes of Tszyu, or Mitchell when you've got this enticing matchup.

Yes true but he doesn't cope well with speed himself does he? Just see Judah leading him a merry dance before Tszyu landed and Judah started dancing. I am not saying Tszyu isn't a good boxer because he is but i don't think he copes too well with speed that's all.Maddawg wrote:steve689 wrote:This fight is no where near a formality for me, Tsyzu has been inactive for a long time and looked unfit and pudgy in a lot of recent interviews which could indicate a struggle to get down to the weight. Outside Boxing and superior speed????? Tsyzu has beautiful boxing skills and very underrated speed. He's not all about power, he can box very smart when he wants to.

Alot of the fight fans scored the FIRST fight even or only slightly in Tszyu's favour when the legitimate injury occured.
I hope Tszyu can do it, mainly because I think Shamba is on the slide and I don't want to see Tszyu badly beaten (because he's been such a servant).
I hope Tszyu but without a warm up I think Shamba should start as favourite.
However, as normal with me, I am undecided untill I have a good look at them at the weigh in.

A year or so ago I liked Tszyu to repeat the dose, but I think he's made all the cash he needs now, and has pretty much done everything he set out to do.
Too bad he never got that shot at ODH though ( which he blew when he lost to Cool Vince ) because I always thought he'd beat Oscar.
I doubt he's going to be as fired up for this as he was first time round.
Mitchell UD.

Not sure about that, I for one haven't seen Tzsyu at his absolute best, that was apparently before the Vince Phillips loss. DLH was very young at that time and I remember Boxing Monthly saying that Tszyu would crucify DLH for fun.Maddawg wrote:Riddick Blowe wrote:tszyu would never have beaten oscar.
I will second that, Oscar is way toooooo much for Tsyzu.
Although at the time there were some unfounded claims that DLH was chinny, however to say such a statement showed how great Tszyu was in those days. I have been impressed with him in his last 3 fights, I can't imagine how good he was in his prime.
Beleive me he was bloody good, I watched mesmerizied at his skill level and reflexes at the sydney world championships.
He stayed on in Sydney and believe or not i personally think he never improved one iota, in fact i would go has far has to say living and fighting out of Sydney held him back , if he had gone to the states and got the continuous quality sparring god knows what his legacy would of been.
He's getting on but even so if he catches Mitchel and sooner or later he will , Mitchell will pack it in like he did last time
One important thing to teach a young boxer is getting there distance right.. Zoo is an absolute master at this , all young boxers should watch and study Zoo's ability to be just out of or in range, especially earlier in his carreer

I'm talking about 96/97 - when Oscar was an overprotected lightwelter who hadn't faced anyone near Tszyu's quality.Maddawg wrote:Riddick Blowe wrote:tszyu would never have beaten oscar.
I will second that, Oscar is way toooooo much for Tsyzu.
They took on an ageing JC Chavez to get a title at 140, rather than face the young Russian.
I remember watching Tszyu at the time ( before he got over-confident and lost to Phillips ) and he had it all - a superb boxer who could make opponents miss while standing right in front of them: looked like a young Duran at times.
He more than matched up to Oscar.
Tszyu at that time and even now at 140 would beat DeLahoya in my opinion, He is huge for that weight and would pressure DeLahoya into fighting his fight.MightyWarrior wrote:I'm talking about 96/97 - when Oscar was an overprotected lightwelter who hadn't faced anyone near Tszyu's quality.Maddawg wrote:Riddick Blowe wrote:tszyu would never have beaten oscar.
