Re: Scottish Boxing update!
so is the Fight in the Ukrraine for the European not happening now.
Wouldnt imagine he would have Quit as he was doing really well.
Best having a rest and getting back in a 8 rounder or so.

Good article
It will be good to see Arthur back in action hopefully a tougher fight than his last one. Hope the rumours of a match up between McAllistar vs Burns are true that would be a great fight for us Scots

Re: Scottish Boxing update!
Aye he is still young but seems to have been around forever.
Would be good to see him make a comeback before the year's out.
Seems an honest sort.

cool spoke to his dad few weeks ago said he was chucking it. hope not still got bit to offer
Re: Scottish Boxing update!
Not really a great time for Scottish boxing at the moment.
We had that little golden spell that GazMac mentioned with the likes of Arthur and Harrison holding world titles and a few others proving themselves at British and Commonwealth level but the past few years have been barren.
John Simpson and Ricky Burns are still in the mix at that level and its a waiting game to see how Arthur is at LW. Apart from those three we are struggling though. For the record Arthur should have moved up to 135 a long time ago but its funny how the extra money that comes with having a title can override common sense.
I would put Craig McEwan in their group but he didn't look too good last time out over 8 rounds and he's fighting in the States so not sure how he'd do British, Commonwealth and European levels.

thanks for commenting ...craig was carrying a hand injury in the run up to that fight.also he took the fight on short notice due to the mayweather/marquez fight being put back .he doen ok for the first few rounds but he lost his way .he is currently moving down from middleweight to light middleweight.
he should be fighting again at end of september /october .

Re: Scottish Boxing update!
I dont think Kevin Anderson will box again, a pal of mine saw him in Buckhaven and said he was like Billy Bunter, pure Hatton when he doesnt have a fight
wtf. The wee guy was excellent when he was trained in scotland, but a total dud when he was trained by the manchester guy. McIntyre is a talented boxer but dont think he would have beaten Anderson if he didnt leave for Manchester, just my opinion of course

Kevin was a star that shone brightly but faded even quicker!!
I do believe however that Kevin Mac had his number, and would for the next 100 fights!!

What happened with Kenny Anderson? Last I remember reading was that he was up in court for the attempted murder of David Togher with a hammer? Anyone?

Re: Scottish Boxing update!
Just read through them.. Why did you stop they are pretty good.. Remember the Kevin Anderson v Kevin McIntyre matches felt both had so much talent. I used to get confused when Kevin and Kenny Anderson were fighting thought it was the same guy... If Kenny can keep active I'm sure he can step it up a level..
