Come on guys... you've got to pay more attention to your rankings page.

I created an account just to view the possible answer for this question and it tells me the topic doesn't exist when I click the link.computerrank wrote:Please have a look atJohn P. Fernandez wrote:Come on guys... you've got to pay more attention to your rankings page.

here are the contents:
1. We just see the problem with ranking the boxers in a correct division.
2. This issue is related to the the question - should a boxer simply keep his points, when he moves up (or down) the divisions - as we now do?
I suppose, the optimized rating in the new division should depend upon the rating in the old division, but there might be an optimized pointage between
- just keeping the old points and
- a complete re-start at 1,000 points in the new division.
I will try to find this optimized relation - maybe different for different different divisions - maybe depending on weight relations.
3. This would allow for assigning different pointages (ratings) to a boxer for different divisions he boxed in.
4. The correct division, where a boxer could be ranked officially, would then be
- the division, where he owns most points
- and where he has boxed in the last year
....

Bernard Hasn't changed weight classes
I guess I don't understand your point, Bernard has never moved weightclasses since his first fight, he has always been a middle-weight, it doesn't seem like your reply addresses that, it seems like you are saying Bernard fought DLH at Light Middle instead of Oscar moving up to middle. If I am missing something sorry, please just help me out. Thanks!
