So the IBO is back on Sky. So much for the no more fringe titles policy. Open the floodgates!

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
what a load of rubbish!!
sky are not helping boxing or themselves here by billing this second rate (second son) crap as headliner material.
matthew hatton is not a draw..........whats the bet they bill the show as HATTON RETURNS TO MANCHESTER!!!
i thought sky stopped all these fringe titles infecting our screens!!!

I hope this isn't a Sky fight.
Didn't Sky say a while back they stopped showing IBO, WBU and puppet titles to concentrate on British, Commonwealth and Euro titles and the big four world titles?
They've been doing a good job recently picking up good domestic fights.

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
matthew hatton is not even the best welter-weight in manchester, let alone the effing world. he coulldn't even beat craig watson!!!
to get any credability, he needs to become the best in his division domestically before fighting for fringe crap like the ibo/wbu

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
No! Please Sky no more IBO/WBU rubbish.
How would they feel if we starting paying our subscriptions with dodgy notes, but telling them that they were real?
The IBO is like a dodgy Rolex or a snide Handbag - The people who matter know the truth and can see crap a mile off.
Hatton should try and win the British title or even fight Jennings or O'Donnell. He lost to Craig Watson FFS he's not even the best in his own county
So much for Sky's quality control. Clearly doesn't apply to the name Hatton.
Ricky is bigging up UFC and say's boxing is dying yet he wants to serve up this crap. Bit the hand that feeds you (Very well) why don't you.

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
it's not a bad fight i don't think.
forget the IBO for a second.
n'dou is a decent test for matt.
is it a lot worse than a lot of other friday night fights we've had to put up with on sky lately.

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
IBO is more credible than most sanctioning bodies but the title is held by a career LWW and im dreading matthew actually winning as i can see the back page of the papers now
Hattons become first brittish world champions
even though matthew would get sparked by at least 5 brittish welters

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
I reckon Hatton will put Small on the bill so that will get shown as well. The fight better than some of Cleverly ones though!

I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IBO TO BE HONEST . ITS NOT AS BAD AS WBU AD WBF , I HATE SOMEONE THINKING THEIR A WORLD CHAMP IF THEY HOLD ONE OF THOSE BUT IF ONE OF MY FIGHTERS COULD FIGHT FOR THE IBO ID TAKE IT WITH BOTH HANDS.

Has Small gone with Hatton?
Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
Yes Small is now!
Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
thats a move backwards promotional wise he should of gone with a maloney or hennessy both seem to be good at building a fighter to world level gradually not the easiest route like fwankleforge wrote:Yes Small is now!

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
why is every one getting on the back of the title when surley we should be getting behind our lads to bring another title home i personally dont rate mathew but i wish him all the luck in winning the title its good for british boxing
Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
Forget the title, Matthew Hatton v Lovemore N'Dou is a decent Friday night fightSamuel Brooks wrote:I hope this isn't a Sky fight.

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
ive been hearing some bad things about hatton not paying good money to his fighters
how much would matt be getting for this fight

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
It would be a good international 10 rounder, or a good commonwealth title fight, but attaching anything else to it just stinks.

Re: Matthew Hatton to fight for IBO
I wouldn't mind seeing Hatton sparked in this one. Don't rate him one bit and wouldn't want to see him headline anything else if else if he did win.
