Did anyone see Kabary Salem nut the referee?
Did anyone see Kabary Salem nut the referee?
They showed Kabary Salem's fight with Mario Veit on Eurosport but I missed it. In the seventh round, Salem apparently nuts the referee and the ref ends up with a broken nose.
Three questions:
Can anyone describe the details of what happened?
Did the ref suffer a nosebleed?
Was it totally accidental?
Thanks

There are a host of others also - No Robin Reid rematch, Howard Eastman, Scott Pemberton, even Brian Magee before the Reid fight would have been acceptable.steve689 wrote:Good list Real_Deal, throw in Eric Lucas, Rudy Markussen and Danilo Haussler as well and then say there is no challenges? Calzaghe is a fornicating joke.
It makes me laugh how the Calzaghe "team" are always so dismissive about a Reid rematch or the possibility of facing Eastman, Enzo Calzaghe even went so far as to call them C list fighters and claiming they would be a step back. A step back from what? Kabery Salem? Mger Mkritchian? Lol, judging by the current line of opponents both would be a step forward.

A ref almost got headbutted on Friday, I think it was the Napa fight, the ref called him up for a low blow and got in his face about it...at the same Napa did an amateur style bow of apology and almost butted the ref

Christ, that's pretty damning when looked at that like that. It's pretty hard to say that none of those fights can be made. The sad thing is, Calzaghe could probably beat all of them, but we'll never know.REAL_DEAL wrote:i dont like calzaghe match making. he says there are no challanges for him yet if you look at fightnews top 10

The only illness Calzaghe is suffering from is Yellow FeverExile wrote:Jeff Lacy has been calling out Calzaghe the last few days and says he would be willing to come to the UK if American tv was involved. This should be an easy match up to make early '05 as he fights for Showtime and has the IBF belt, lets just hope sick note Joe doesnt get the flu for the year
