Now that's not good news

Well done to Simpson, thought both looked very limited though.

yay is back!! Great start to the season.
It was a cracking fight. Shame for truskett, seen how much he wanted it. The early cuts sealed his fate though.
i hope the simpson / linsday fight happens soon, should be another good one.

he did look poor, but i think he just about did enough to get the win.
Apparently the board will decide if he did enough to get the nod for prizefighter.

Great start to the FFN Season, I know Trussy is young but where does he go from here? He has absolutely no power in his punches and looked very one dimensional all be it showing great fighting spirit and a decent chin. Good to see Cookie back too, great knockout punch!

How do people think Tyson Fury will get on next week? Im predicting a 8th KO victory for him myself.

bollox , i saw simpson TKO at 5-1on ladbrokes website, when i phones em they were offering 4-1.
i cud have still placed my 20 quid but i didn't on the principle that they were offering better odds online, and i wasn't prepared to open an internet account.

so that 80quid went begging.......even so, i think 4-1 on the Simpson stoppage was sh*t odds for a fight Truscott on paper would just wn on points, if not a draw!

sounded like a good honest contest. I like Simpson, I'm sure Truscott will bounce back.

I can understand... although looking at it from Holden's perspective - if he is not sanctionable (and remember no title is on the line) for a series of 3 x 3 minute bouts - then what is he sanctionable for?

There were rumours of amateurs making their pro debut on Prizefighter - and there would not have been a problem with the BBBoC.

Yes, if Larry gets a chance to be in this Prizefighter he really should take it, in my opinion.

agree, natural fight to make IMO> i think Lindsey, who is as skilled as Truss but with a bit more bite to him, has just enough to beat Simpson.

Great fight. Fair play to both of them, relentless at times.

Gotta take my hat off to Truscott the kids a warrior, although he has hardly any power, had 2 quite bad cuts (was regurlarly rubbing the blood out his eyes from the mid rounds) he carried on giving it his all and was devasted when the ref waved it off (and did anyone else notice at the end of the 9th Michael Marsden said to him i'm gonna pull you out, he screamed no way, nearly crying!) this kid wants it so bad, he's also really gracious in defeat, I really hope he can come back from this, great example to any kid out there.

On a sidenote liked the little advert for whats coming up on Sky, Macklin Vs Asikanien, Moore Vs Rhodes, Jennings Vs Brook, Fury Vs McDermott, Munroe, Mayweather Vs JMM, the best Priefighter line-up ever. Fair play to Sky, last season was piss poor imo but they seem to be pulling out the stops for this one.

great fight. That was more like it from sky

i think perhaps winning the commonwealth title came a bit too soon for truscott but i generally do hope he can still do well in boxing coz hes got tremendous will and courage. Simpson impressed me a lot, very solid and tough, looking forward to him fighting lindsay in the future, hes a handful for any fighter at british/commonwealth level.

truscotts face must look like a hamburger this morning

You've saved me a post here, mate. That's just what I was going to say.

We're all quick on the trigger to slag off meagre offerings but the main events they've got lined up for Sept and Oct are absolute crackers. Hope the undercards are decent too. Jason Cook comeback, Arron v Jones and Holden comeback are the type of intriguing British undercard fights that are worth seeing.

I don't know why there are a few people saying Truscott was down to beat Simpson on points anyway. How so? He just wasn't strong enough to keep Simpson at bay. Heart of a lion though - what a brave and gracious lad. :TU:

mike holden looked dire, much as he is a great guy, he was fighting a 'slick miller' type of opponent who shoule be dispatched with ease in my opinion.
