What an odd day to hold the fight! I've never seen a fight so close to Christmas before. I'm guessing this was the only date they had available on the TV networks. It'll be interesting to see the attendance at the fight.

Mosley has never been a big ticket seller even in Southern California. This will be worth watching but seems a small consolation for his amazing win over Margarito 11 months earlier. He's 38 next week so a fight with a tough but low profile opponent who he is expected to beat clearly is not really what he needs but beggars/choosers.

Will he be expected to beat Clottey? I don't think the majority will expect him to win.

Setanta showed virtually a whole day of boxing on boxing day last year. A tear just dropped into my coffee.

No way Mosley stops Clottey. I think he'll win a close decision with Clottey, as usual, being his own worst enemy by coasting about when he should be working. I think the Ghanaian has better technical ability than people give him credit for; he's not just a strong, durable sort but he can box too. Cannot wait for this one but why 26th December?? Jesus it's only the beginning of September :o

its a decent fight but i agree with the view that its not a big reward for mosley after his outstanding win over margarito

I expect mosley to win a close but pretty straightforward ud

@caffrey

Same here. But do you honestly think Berto's handlers are stupid enough to even contemplate a Mosley fight?

As for the fight I dont think much of it tbh. Not sure what Clottey has done to deserve all these high profile opponents. What does he bring to the table commercially?

No doubt Berto's handlers are waiting for the right time. Mosley's getting on, Cotto's looking more and more vulnerable, God knows what's happening with Margarito. Berto's just behind those 3.
