Kali Meehan....has he missed his chance?

Kali Meehan is Aus' best heavy and is the closest to anyone from this part of the world to win a version of the world title, but has his inactivity cost him his last shot?
The number 1 rated for the WBA has controversially seen himself for the last 2 years miss at least 3-4 shots at the interim and full version of the titles but has it been on the back of that he hasn't fought anyone ranked in the top 100 since his best career win over Davaryl Williamson in late 07.

I personally think it's all over for Kali for a chance at Heavyweight champ, turning 40 soon and with the fact that Haye vs Valeav in November and John Ruiz somehow leaping Kali for an undeserved shot at the winner sometime next year his shot could only come late next year.
It just doesn't look positive either that he hasn't fought anyone in a year and has gone 5 rounds in 2 fights since late 07 against very soft opponents.

My point is this.. why doesn't Kali get more involved with the scene down here? maybe winner of Tua/Cameron or even Mark DeMori who i believe would love a shot at him.
