That settles it then, thanks knockout. Danny will obviously have to work on his foot work then.
he needs to get some different shorts aswell, those long ones he wears are not suitable for high kicks ;-)

I think Klit is vulnerable around the whiskers if caught right as any heavyweight is but him in particular. He had a war with Lewis granted, but Lennox was way out of shape. If Lewis had been fully in shape and delivering those punches with full snap and accuracy I think he'd have blown him away. Lewis was very sluggish in that fight and most people point to that as a test of Vitali's chin. Danny seems to think that taking the fight into the late rounds is his best chance I think he should try and jump on him from the first bell and rough him up and unsettle him. Both brothers can be unsettled if you set about them early.

Wow how big does Vitali look, fuckin hell rather you than me Danny boy, but i think Lennox gave Danny some good advice, punch around that scar tissue that Vitali has, i think if Danny does connect often enough in this area Vitali will cut and you never know Danny could get the verdict (Doctor stops fight) - I'd like to see Vitali chuck his teddy's out of the pram again like he did at the end of the Lewis fight

Yes, he has to prevent Vitali establishing any dominance with the jab. If he allows that to happen he's going to get busted up. Vitali's a lumbering git, but his jab is like a battering ram, and when followed up by the right cross makes a formidable weapon.

I think Danny will be ok as long as he doesn't stand and pose, which he didn't do against Tyson. He's got to be putting Vitali under pressure to win.

Although Lewis was sluggish, he hit Vitali with an uppercut which made the whole auditorium gasp, and recovered well. Had Lewis been in his prime, that shot would have been followed and preceded by several other punches and I think Lewis would have destroyed Vitali.

Danny is in much better nick than Lewis was at that point, and his destruction of Tyson shows he can hit, because Tyson has a great chin. Punch for punch Lewis hit harder than Danny, but Danny's handspeed is far greater than Lewis' was by the time Vitali got him.

I think you're over-rating Willams a tad James, even that aging out of shape Lewis was better in every department than Williams. You say his handspeed is far greater but that's measured against who exactly? A shot Tyson and a lumbering Sprott? As for being in better shape, don't forget Danny weighed like 100 stone against Tyson. Who knows how much Williams would have had left had Tyson survived that 4th round onslaught.

I hope Danny gets Ko'ed early....might seem a bad statement but it will be for the good of the division.

Danny is not a World Champion and doesnt belong in that league.

I am amazed at how many fans on the web are about turning after Danny beat up a near dead Tyson, Up until then it was Danny is a bum and hes going nowhere all round and then he defeats a 200% washed up Tyson and he is suddenly going to beat Vitali and has all the tools to beat anyone out there....

Amusing...

I really hope to god he doesnt beat Vitali....In fact if he does I will stop watching the sport as it will obviously have fell in to a state of such decline there is no going back.

The division is bad enough as it is, but if Williams beats Vitali I would say heavyweight boxing is at it's lowest state ever.

If I was Williams I would be watching tapes of Joe Frazier; plan to duck and step forward every time Klitschko throws because one punch he doesn't seem to throw well (admittedly I haven't seen that many of his fights) is the uppercut. Threw a few on the inside at Lewis and I don't think any of them landed, weren't very powerful looking either.

What's also amusing is the number of posters who gave Danny NO chance before the Tyson fight, now say Mike was an old man and it proved nothing.

Danny threw more shots in that fight, than Lewis did in his fight with Vitali.

I don't give a bollock what anyone says, for the first couple of rounds, Tyson looked sharper than he had in a long time, a lot of the American writers, who weren't exactly rooting for Danny, said the same thing after he beat Tyson.

Mike looked good until Danny started panning him back and he's always reacted badly to being chinned repeatedly.

Danny is a very big man. Despite being only 6'1 6'2", he is very solid, and although he may have had a little podge around the middle, his arms, shoulders and back muscles were solid. Danny is very good at around 245, I don't think he can weight less than this and be effective at his age.

I also don't think he is unfit, not judging by his punch output against Tyson anyhow.

Sprott is hardly a lumbering fighter either, one thing he does have is good handspeed, so that's just plain untrue.

How is it good for the division if Danny loses, what bollocks.

If Vitali gets beat, then he obviously isn't the dominant champ, and is danny really worse than John Ruiz? What about Lamon Brewster? Byrd is on the slide, Vitali has shown he can be hit and hurt and that he has no defence to speak of,

Tell me, is Danny really worse than these men, I'm not convinced anyone out there right now is anything special.

I also believe that a fighter's career can change dramatically after the kind of victory Danny had over Tyson.

Everyone's saying Danny is overrated based on his Tyson victory, well Vitali is overrated based on his loss to Lewis, battering human slug Johnson who had no business being in a boxing ring in that shape, and hammering a 38 semi-retired fighter, who made his name battering his robotic brother.

Tracers work both ways, Vitali has yet to convince me he's going to dominate the division, his skills are very mediocre, and without his chin and size, he'd be at the mercy of many fighters. For now that may be enough to dominate for a little while, we shall see.

Aside from his win over Tyson, William's career is incomparable to Vital's.
