What is your reason for liking or disliking Britains most popular ever "peoples champion"...................
I don't like the way he won titles and then threw them away because he didn't fancy fighting mandatory challengers,
also the talking in the third person really got on my nerves and the way he kept saying ' tickling contest' all the time, and that stupid hat,and he was overrated, getting ko'd by two much smaller men who weren't considered to be big punchers and obviously AVOIDING WITTER.

Exactly.
But I do not want him to fight Witter now - he could get hurt and that is not something anyone wants to see.

Tyson never showed any sign that he could ever beat the likes of Lewis but that is an whole new/old can of worms.
When Witter was #2 Hatton had already lost to Floyd. Hatton then went on to line up fights with Lazcano and Malignaggi whilst Witter was still #2 in the division. The fact that Hatton would have sold the strong majority of the tickets is irrelevent as he was always the ticket attraction when he fought in the UK or anywhere else for that matter. Hatton should have earnt 5 or so times more than Junior did for the fight, but Hatton refused to enter into any type of negotiations.
I ain't going through all this again, it's been to done to death. The conclusion is I think Hatton should have fought Junior, you agree with Ricky that he shouldn't have

Hatton would never fight Witter even if Witter beat Bradley.
Ive got a really good idea DG, why dont you join a boxing website and let everyone know how you feel about hatton and witter, over and over and over and over and over again. Keep banging on for months nay, years and years and years til everyone is bored pissless with the whole conversation.

Oh you already have.
Ive got a really good idea J, why dont you join a boxing website and let everyone know how you feel about people not loving witter ansd you can post about it on threads concerning hatton instead of maing a good go of posting sense, over and over and over and over and over again. as a person - pretending he loves the fans, etc just down to earth one of the boys - yet he wears £10,000 suits and £4000 watchs and sips booze in Jacuzzis with Wayne Roonet and sits in a VIP box at Old Trafford with Rio Fernadad
And he says he i going to fight in Manchester not America his next fight to reawd fans loyalty then charges Pay Per View
He just bluffs a front of what he thinks will make him popular with people..............
Woul you feel better if he wore Top shop suits and had a watch from Next?
Lets be real, he's earned a load of cash by becoming an elite boxer through hardwork. Why shouldn't he spend some of that cash on some luxury things?
I like Hatton because of the general attention that he has brought to British boxing and the carnival-like atmophere generate by his bigger fights. Also, prior to the Tzsyu victory, he possessed a genuinely fan freindly style.
What I don't like about Hatton is the weight gain between contests.

Malignaggi was the #2 in the division when Hatton fought him.

Malignaggi was the #2 in the division when Hatton fought him.
Those ratings have Witter as #2 and Malignaggi as #3. 3 months later Witter loses to Bradley and Malignaggi beats N'Dou. No doubt they would swap places in May. Hatton fights Malignaggi in November when he's #2. Simples.
based on Malignagi's footspeed versus N'Dou, on 5 mintes of watching that.....added to his 12 round survival job with a prime Cotto, I thought Malignagi would mop the floor with Hatton, even if it was on points.
So I think Hatton's win was an excellent one. Was it at 140.....he is super strong at the weight, I think that was the telling factor. Malignagi's lack of "pop" , and Hatton's hulk-like strength at 140.

the bloke who charges people for his autograph and/or photo (regardless of if its going to charity) at after dinner speeches when people have paid 50 hard earned quid or more to be in his company.
I've got to disagree with that. I was at 'an evening with' in Glasgow last year.
There was a booth set up for chargeable photographs but at the end of the speeches, any amount of people came up to the top table and Ricky signed autographs for ages, no charge, until eventually his manager/agent said that it was time to go. It looked like Ricky would have stayed there as long as people were coming up, and no, he wasn't pissed!
i dislike him because he dont know anything about boxing he fought if he beat pacman he would of been p4p get a grip theres at least 20 people who are much better than him
