The ITV4 show at the weekend was the first i remember seeing of the guy, it is probable i have seen him but i cant remember. was the fight harder than it should of been like the commentary team said. they said it was down to jet lag is this true?

BTW the scoring was bogus i had him winning 4-2 not a shut out

i have read a bit about him and i feel it may of been a bad night at the office as i few think he may go places. It best to have a bad night at this stage of his career rather than a later stage. For the record i had him losing the first two but winning the rest.

yeah same score as me i cant work out how the ref had it 6-0. he was talked of highley just that was my first experiance of him and i wasnt impressed

it was poor by the ref but O'Meara will have better nights, your trainer doesnt take you as part of a team to train in Vegas with the Mayweathers if you have nothing. This may be a good wake up call

yea also didnt his trainner/manager say it was the first time he had trained him and he had a different trainner last time? maybe he needs a more experianced trainner to boot

The scoring was poor. I had it 3-3 but it was probably a bad night.

I saw his pro debut at york hall on a thaxton undercard and he didn't seem able to sit down on his punches, he seems to still have the same problem but overwhelmingly I think that was a bad night at the office. By this stage I'd have expected him to be going 8 rounds though.

Probably just an off night for O'Meara, but there's no getting away from the fact that he looked poor and has alot to work on. He was caught cleanly plenty of times and had a tough time. It seemed to me that his lack of power, if anything, is encouraging him to try and load up to try and find some extra power and he looks very uncomfortable when he's doing this. Still early days for his career, but on last nights peformance its hard to get too excited..... Scoring was pathetic, no problem with the O'Meara win, but giving him a clean sweep of all the rounds is just wrong.

Steve O'Meara won't be going beyond domestic level. But at domestic level he could get into some decent scraps. If he could win the English title then I'd say he's done well. He may have been jet lagged, but I've seen him twice now and both times he has looked poor (in the sense that he's not the best of prospects).

Jimmy Mac is his trainer but for his last few fights, due to date clashes with DeGale contests, Tony Sims, a good trainer, has subbed in the corner. Guessing thats what they meant.

I've seen him 4 or 5 times now started of being impressed with him but his last couple of outing he's just getting the job done he either needs tougher competition to raise his game or he will struggle to get past the domestic scene
