Braehmer has flattered to deceive as a pro a little, in fact I remember there was much fanfare when he turned pro. He has always had a reputation as a vaunted puncher -with 28 out of 32 falling early- yet there are some contradictions to that within his record: he went the distance with Andre Thysse, he went the 12 with Omar Gonzalez who lost to Brian Magee in one round, he went the distance with Hector Velazco who has been stopped before and since.

Of course styles make fights and all that and it probably means little. The speel in prison can't of helped his career and the fact he was outboxed by Garay who lost to the little known Campillo recently suggests Braehmer's temperament blows hot and cold.

Yes, always had the feeling - perhaps its cause of the Hatton link that he should have been campaigning at a lower weight devision than Super Middle... now he is at Light Heavy. Most of the time when he is involved I pick Brahmer UD.

I think he will come good in a slow burning career and end it as champion, defending as Felix Sturm has done. Does seem to learn from bad displays - but then seems to forget also. I really did think after his loss to Veit, he turned a new leaf - but not.

Still solid, but looked like he could have been more.
